upper right by the dash board On the impalas the hazard flasher is built into the hazard switch on the dash. The front of the dash must be removed in order to get to the hazard/turn signal switch, (not as hard as it sounds). remove fuse panels on both sides of dash. under each remove one screw. Remove two screws above instrument cluster. Unclip panel right above pedals. Remove two more screws. Dash panel should be ready to be removed, remove slowly it is secured by clips all the way across. Before You start, You should lower the steering wheel to the full down position and have the car's shift lever all the way down into (low Drive........I think). The hazard turn signal switch shoulb be just right of the instrument cluster.

I had a problem with my 2004 Impala. The flashers would freeze intermittently, both turn signal and hazards. Therefore I suspected a defective flasher unit. It costs about $ 15.00 from a NAPA dealer, part # EP 28.The hazard switch costs about $50.00 at NAPA dealer.
