The oil filter is located 4 inches behind the alternator toward the drivers side, on the passenger side of the vehicle, mounted sideways. The oil plug is located directly below the center of the alternator on the bottom of the vehicle, on the passenger side, mounted sideways.

From what I understand, you don't replace the oil, you just throw the Kia out and get another one. Seriously, though, if you don't have that information in your owner's manual under the section, "Periodic maintenance", then you might consider investing a couple dollars on a "Chilton's" manual for your year/model car. These manuals are well and plainly written and include good clear pictures. You can perform most repairs or maintenance with a Chilton's and a decent set of common tools. For less than $100 in a Chiltons and a basic tool set, you could save thousands in what you'd have to pay a mechanic. A Chiltons can be purchased online at Amazon.com or from an auto parts store in your neighborhood, like NAPA or Cragen.
