No , it is not an interference engine
underneath the engine
No , the 3.0 liter " Vulcan " V6 engine in a 2003 Ford Ranger has a timing CHAIN
it should fit as they both have the same engine but is it manual or automatic
automatic or manual transmission ?
What Do You Think It Does? It Shuts Off The Ignition Of Your Engine, So Basically It Cuts The Engine Off...
4 cylinder engine is an interference type.
According to the 2003 Ford Ranger Owner Guide : ( Motorcraft MERCON - V , automatic transmission fluid is used in the automatic transmissions with all engine sizes ) * the type used is indicated either on the automatic transmission fluid dipstick handle , or it is engraved into the automatic transmission fluid level dipstick *
The engine oil dipstick is on the drivers side of the 4.0 liter V6 engine in a 2000 Ford Ranger Also , the AUTOMATIC transmission fluid dipstick is to the passenger side of the engine , near the firewall , where the automatic transmission is bolted to the rear of the engine * the manual transmission does not have a dipstick , the fluid level is checked underneath the vehicle on the side of the transmission
