Fan motor? Check fuse, Check resistor pack at fan motor Check coolant level
Can be a defective thermal relay or the fan is defective. Turn on the A/C and if the fan does not run suspect a bad fan motor. Apply 12 volts directly to the fan motor to see if it is good. If it runs the fan motor is good. Answer: Also check the coolant level, also check the coolant temp sensor located on the thermostat housing, on the lower radiator hose.
The coolant fan may have a blown fuse. The electric motor, on the coolant fan may be not working. The ground wire on the cooling fan may be corroded or loose.
The radiator fan should not run after the key is shut off. The normal cause is a failed radiator fan relay.
Low on coolant? A/c or defroster set to "on" position? Defective coolant temp sensor? Also could be defective fan motor. if that is the case make sure you order the exact same part number b/c from car to car they can vary and if you dont get the correct motor it may cause overheating problems.
where is the fuse located for electric engine coolant fan on picasso petrol 1.6l
Have your blower motor resistor or blower motor checked out
bad fan or bad fan relay
A faulty fan motor, A faulty fan motor relay, A faulty coolant temp sensor, A faulty ECM, (most unlikely),
It means your running out of coolant in the motor.
mine wouldn't shut off because it had run low on coolant - there wasn't enough to circulate. another symptom was that there was no heat coming from the heating vents, just outside-temp air, as there was no coolant to heat it.
The fan remains running after the vehicle shuts off in order for the engine to cool down. Once the motor cools down sensors trigger the fan to shut it off.
