Hitler contributed to the start of World War Two because when he invaded Poland and militarizing his country which broke his part in the Treaty of Versailles which p/od everyone else and he knew it The Treaty of Versaille put sole blame of the war on Germany, although it was not actually one of the countries involved in the disagreement that started WW1. The allies also made Germany pay alot of money for the cost of the war. This made those in Germany somewhat angry, and it helped set up a climate that Hitler used to rise to power. By angry, I mean that there was a depression in Germany and the government had no money to help. When Hitleer came to power he helped to bring Germeny out of that depression. The treaty and other agreements also allienated Japan and Italy, who felt that they didn't get enough colonies out of it. This was part of the reason they sided against the allies in WW2. Basically, the Treaty set up a climate of vengance, especially in Germany, which culminated in WW2.

The Treaty of Versailles inflicted severe restrictions on the German economy and military. Not only did Germany have to admit they were the SOLE cause of WWI, they had to dismantle almost all of their military and had to pay massive reparations payments to the countries it attacked. These payments were bankrupting the weak German economy. As a result, the citizens of Germany felt betrayed by their government and looked to somebody or some entity that would lead to positive change. That group was the Nationalist Socialist Party, and a young man, former military and failed artist Adolf Hitler was driven for power...

Many countries in Europe that were on the Allied side at the time imposed harsh treatment on Germany and large reparations. The United States thought that the terms of the Treaty of Versailles were too harsh so they signed a separate treaty with Germany. The damage was done, however and the German economy was in a total mess and the reparations they had to make made it even worse, so bad that citizens of Hermany began looking for a leader, one that would lead them out of economic misery and back to the Germany it once was. Unfortunately, Hitler, who hated the Allies and anyone that was not purely German, looked to destroy them in the war, signing pacts with The Soviet Union, Italy, and Japan, stating that they would not attack each other and would protect each other. Hotler, of course, had other ideas and invaded The Soviet Union in 1941, causing the Soviet Union to join the Allies, and the operation itself, called Operation Barbarossa, was a complete failure, with Russian forces fighting past it's border and into other German-held territories.

The legitimate German government signed a treaty that made Germany pay for war 'reparations'. Also The Nazi's led by Hitler spread Propaganda about the peace treaty that the government had sold out the military, that the German military could have fought on and won the war (WWI). This fed the ego of the German people who did not want to believe they were 'fairly' beaten in WWI, but a small part of the government led by Jews sold out the German people and signed an unjust peace treaty.

Also, just like the rest of the world, there was an economic depression during the 1930's. Hugh amounts of unemployed people, inflation so that a loaf of bread that might have cost a few pfennigs (cents) now cost thousands (possibly millions) of Deutsch Marks (~ dollars) created much discontent in which the German people were interested in a 'quick fix' which is what the Nazi's were offering. Read a book if you need more. This is a long complicated topic that needs much more explanation to get a real understanding.
