It is seeping oil into the cylinders when it's not running. It could be old valve guide seals. These will allow this type of problem to occur.
your car has a cracked or weak ring in the motor
corsa 1.5 diesel lumpy at start up with white smoke from exhaust returning to normal after a couple of minuets
White smoke at start up is due to moisture in the exhaust or on a diesel it can be normal due to the engine being cold.White smoke at start up is due to moisture in the exhaust or on a diesel it can be normal due to the engine being cold.
possible blown head gasket. I don't get white smoke from my exhaust! is it from yours? If it is just after you start your car it is normal.
My understanding of exhaust smoke is that Blue is oil, Black is unburnt fuel, White is unburnt diesel on cold start. The main question would be, how much smoke and when does it do it?
Classic signs of worn oil seals in the cylinder head. Oil leaks into the bores overnight, after the initial burnoff the exhaust runs clear.
oil burning . Condensation.
might have a blown head gasket
i have 05 e55amg and just notice white smoke from the exhaust when i start the car and i will drop it off to the dealer to check what the hell is wrong and i will update as soon as i find out.
It means the piston rings or the bore of the motor are worn an let too much compression get into the sum and the oil rings are letting too much oil get to the cylinder head.
if there is backfire, check the exhaust restriction....
When an exhaust pipe is cool, the exhaust will start to allow water vapor to condense. If the exhaust is white you're seeing a vapor cloud; it's normal and unavoidable. Once the engine and exhaust are warm, the vapor cloud should stop.
