It can be a few different things but the most common failure is the blower motor resistor. If you visit our enthusiasts forum we can help you track it down quickly. www.trailvoy.com
This is more than likely caused by the actual fan switch. As I am English, I have no idea what a Chevrolet Trailblazer is, or what it looks like even, but there are things which are common to all or many vehicles.
Its probably starting to burn out. Frequently the fans spin so much and wear out. time for a new one!
If the front blower and the front windshield wiper do not work on a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer, it could be the fault of the relay switches on the blower and the wiper. Also check the fuse box on top of the battery for a multi-function fuse that might be blown.
have you checked fuses and relays? Yes, I actually replaced the blower motor module & that didn't work. The Blower Motor itself spins freely & there doesn't seem to be any electrical issues. Could it be the Blower Motor speed switch??? If so, is that hard to access?
The 2004 Chevrolet trailblazer air conditioning fan switch has three settings. The switch can malfunction, and only work in the high setting.
Blower motor speed resistor is partially burned out.
it needs a blower motor resistor to make the fan settings work.If you replace the Blower MOTOR Resistor it should resolve the problem.
More than likely the blower motor resistor pack is bad, although it can also be the switch itself.
