Why would the blinkers on a '92 Chevy 1500 not work while the lights and brakes are on?

May want to check your dimmer switch, too - it could just be in the off position. You could have a shorted relay if it only happens when you turn your headlights on. From the description you gave, it sounds as if the instrument cluster has come unplugged. You may be able to reach up behind the cluster and plug it back in, but usually the cluster has to be removed to access the plug.

∙ 12y agothere is a brake switch under the brake pedal that is probably bad. Call an auto parts store to find out how much they cost. I had a 98 Pontiac Montana that did the same thing, the center brake light at the top worked but the two main ones didn't. I paid maybe 7.00 for the part and it took about five minytes to change, I am a woman who knows nothing about vehicles and I changed mine myself so about anyone could probably do it

∙ 12y agoThis problem could be a wide variety of problems... it might be as simple as the brake lights are blown... all you have to do then is let down the tailgate and remove the 2 Philips head screws from the side of both taillights, you should be able to rotate them slightly and take them off, the bulbs are connected and have to be twisted slightly to remove them from the taillights... if that is not the proble then you might have a cut wire, blown fuse, or even more complicated wiring problems

∙ 17y agoChevrolet had problems with corrosion in these fixtures. Unit may have to be replaced, but check ground connection first.

Either warped rotors or drums can cause pulsating. Apply the parking brake slowly while going about 15mph and see if t pulsates. If it does, it is the drums that need turning. If not, it is the rotors that need turning.

There is a grounding issue with the system, either that or one of the components is otherwise drawing more amps than the circuit breaker is meant to handle and it is tripping.

Sounds like a blown brake line . Get under the car to see where the fluid has leaked out and that will answer your question.

Answerpull the bulbs on the left and make sure they are not in with the tits in the wrong position. That is lower teet in the upper slot of the socket.
