Good luck :-)
AnswerThe knock sound could be coming from the u-joints. You should have two located in front and behind the driveshaft. A good way of check this it to jack the car up on both sides and support the car properly with jack stands. Climb under the car with car in drive. Then grab the driveshaft which is the shaft coming from the transmission to the rear differential. Turn it left and right if your fell it move replace the u-joint. Other symptoms is a vibration when driving and noise coming from under the car.Underneath the intake manifold there will be two knock sensors
under the manifold, there are two (2)
the knock sensors 1 and or front and back are locaded under the intake
Congratulations.
the nut is reverse thread. u have to get a air impact hammer to knock it loose. it loosens to the left.
on the passenger side of the block behind the moter mount.
It is on the bottom side/ passenger side of the engine block, just in front of the starter.
Check your transmission mount, it probably needs replacing. Check out www.thirdgen.org
the knock sensor on a 91 camaro 305 in on the passenger side of the block, bellow the exhaust manifold. its a few inches in front of the bell housing., and has a single wire running to it. looks a bit like a temp sensor, or oil pressure sensor.
That depends on your driving style and the type of journeys you do. Harsh clutch use on short stop/start journeys will knock a clutch out much sooner than smooth use on mainly long motorway trips.
check your fly wheel before spending money a tiny crack can sound like a blown engine
Why don't you take it to a mechanic before you ruin your truck by riding the clutch? The chattering could be engine knock because your engine is out of tune. When you ride the clutch, the clutch slips and puts less strain on your engine as you are burning out your clutch.
