If it's not the crank sensor, it's probably the ECM, and that's bad. Try you crank shaft position sensor, if it is bad the engine will not run. It's on the back of the engine just below the vavle cover on the drivers side
You can also try the ignition pickup. It's a little back plastic plate that sits on top of the distributor when you take the cap off.
The ignition condenser is located inside the distributor. In order to repair the issue, the distributor will need removed and replaced.
The most common failure associated with those symptoms is the Crankshaft Position Sensor.
the cam position sensor and ignition coil are inside the distributor. the crank position sensor is located on the bottom front of the engine, behind the belts on the left side.
try to get a new ignition rotor
You'd have to describe the components you replaced. Did you use a plug and go all in one distributor or did you replace the coil, distributor, and add an electronic ignition unit? If you "fried" your ignition, it's likely you fried something else along the line too. Check all your components.
The computer maybe fubar(no good)? have you checked the plug wires distributor cap and rotor? could be the distributor its self or possably the pick up coil
You have an ignition Control Module that you can check that controls ignition timing Throttle Position Sensor that tells the computer where the throttle is so it can regulate and give the correct air fuel ratio.
The camshaft position sensor is an integral part of the distributor. If codes and tests indicate that it is faulty, the distributor must be replaced. Last I looked a cheap one was $1,500.
replace wire from coil to distributor or inertia switch lower side panel under glove box.
The camshaft position sensor is integral with the distributor. So, have it checked carefully by a professional because, if the sensor is faulty, the distributor must be replaced. That can get ugly expensive real quick.
The coil and distributor are one unit, there for, no coil wire. Yes it is a sealed unit and has to be replaced as one.
Ignition switch worn out and needs to be replaced? After 20 years
