Check tosee if you are getting poweer to the motor if so motor is bad
If not check the switch at dash
Blower motor speed resistors are generally located close to the blower motor.
There is a resistor located in the blower housing. It may be under the dash on the left(passenger) side. It will have two screws holding it in and have three or four wires plugged into it.
It is on the evaporator case and is held in with 2 screws.
It is located/accessed from the engine bay, passenger side of the firewall.
Usually against the firewall in the center section
The blower resistor is located over the passenger side strut tower.
The blower resistor is behind the glove box. It mounts to the HVAC housing.
The blower motor resistor is mounted behind the glove box door.
No. The blower motor is the motor that turns the fan that blows the air through the vents inside your vehicle whether its blowing for the ac or the heater. The blower motor RESISTOR controls the speed in which your blower motor turns. The resistor will be located either in the engine compartment, usually in the firewall ( the metal wall separating your engine from your cab). In newer vehicles the resistor is located behind the glove box inside your cab. The resistor is mounted with two bolts/screws and has a wire connecting box plug with 5 connectors. The connectors on the resistor are male and the connecting plug has female plugs. The resistor is VERY easy to replace even for beginners and is very affordable. The one I just changed was $17.00. It was located in the firewall and took me less than 5 minutes to replace. Hope this helps! Stay cool!
If the AC stopped blowing air on your 2003 Toyota Echo, the blower fuse could be to blame. If the fuse is fine, it might be the blower resistor that needs to be replaced.
It is located on the passenger side behind the glove box.
Its located on the firewall under the hood on the passengers side...
The ballast resistor is located on the left inner fender.
I had this Problem once on an old Nissan. Once i changed the switch the problem continued. What resolved the issue was changing the ballast resistor located on the blower housing, Once i changed this resistor, all my speeds became available again.
The blower motor fan cools the resistor so the resistor is usually located close to the blower.
The ballast resistor is located either on the firewall or on the left inner fender.
Blower resistor has failed. It is located behind the glove box.
