There might be a problem with the fuel pressure. When the vehicle is shut off after driven for a while, the fuel pressure create a vapor lock in the fuel line. Therefore, insufficient fuel are going into the fuel injectors while you restart. Also, it check for any TSB from Ford to see of this a common problem for this vehicle. Good Luck.
Sometimes a car stalls when driving though water because water got sucked up into the engine. This can cause a lot of damage, so don't attempt to restart the car after it stalls. Have the car towed so the engine can be stripped down and drained of the water.
Many modern cards actually stop the engine if the car is stationary and restart it as you move to pull away. This saves fuel and reduces pollution.
Simply bypass the cooling fan thermostat .G
ignition modual
Electric cooling fan? Fan placed behind radiator to aid in engine cooling activated when engine coolant temperature exceeds 235 degrees F or when A/C or defroster is engaged
Injectors leaking. Raw fuel is making its way into the exhaust through the engine. This is not safe. Take it to the dealer.
location of engine cooling fan sensor
On a 1998 Mercury Tracer, the cooling fan relays are located in an engine compartment box. The compartment box should be labeled 'Cooling Fan 40 amp.'
The cooling fan is coming on cooling the engine. Very normal.
The water pump is bolted to the front of the engine behind the engine cooling fan
Engine cooling fan clutch locked up.
Evidently the cooling fan is not working.
Both. It has motors driving the cooling fan and blower for the heater and A/C. It has an engine driving the wheels and propelling the vehicle down the road.
On a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis , 4.6 liter V8 engine : The Original Equipment engine cooling thermostat would be : ( around 192 * Fahrenheit )
On a 2002 Mercury Sable : The engine coolant reservoir is at the front of the engine compartment , on the passenger side of the engine compartment ( the engine coolant reservoir has a thread on cap on it , that is your pressure cap / radiator cap )
On a 2007 Mercury Milan : The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap
The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap for the engine cooling system
