To disconnect the power wire to an antenna, first ensure that the power source is turned off to prevent any electrical hazards. Locate the power wire connected to the antenna and identify the connection points. Carefully disconnect the wire by either unscrewing it from the terminal or unplugging it, depending on the type of connection. Finally, secure the disconnected wire to prevent accidental contact with live components.
the antenna its self will have a connector you can unhook
Just unplug the power wire below the motor or the fuse in the fuse box..
There is a wire which connects the power to the antenna. The wire is located under the hood right near the back of the fender hump on the passengers side. remove the pass. finder linner and find plug to the motor and disconnect it
You can always figure out which fuse to pull and pull it from the fuse box. This will prevent the antenna motor from getting power. The downside to this method is that fuse may also control power to other features, like electric doorlocks or other items. You'll have to pull it and see what else gets affected. The other option is to disconnect the power the motor. However, this may not be so easy. You have to be able to get access to the antenna motor and sometimes these things are buried in the body panel. You would want to disconnect the wire from the fuse box also so you don't have a live wire hanging out inside the dash.
Your head unit should have a wire marked as P. Antenna that's the wire you need to connect.
To replace the antenna wire on a 2008 Chrysler 300, first, remove the interior trim panel near the antenna base, typically located on the rear deck or roof. Disconnect the old antenna wire from the antenna and the radio unit, then route the new antenna wire through the same path. Reconnect the new wire to the antenna and the radio, ensuring all connections are secure. Finally, replace the trim panel and test the radio to ensure proper reception.
There is a plug on the front of the fuse panel that you can disconnect. It should be labeled and I believe it's an orange wire.
The motor that raises and lowers the antenna is controlled by a wire which is connected to the power switch in the stock radio. The wire from the antenna itself has nothing to do with raising and lowering the antenna. Touch the wires that were connected to the stock radio to a hot wire and see if the antenna starts to move. If if does, hook that wire to the wire from the new radio which is supposed to control the antenna motor. If there is no such wire, connect the antenna motor wire to the Accessory circut. The antenna will go up whenever the key is turned on. Or, you can get fancy and install a switch for it.
