This sounds like you need to change the fuse. Check the fuses located under the hood in a plastic covered box in the corner on the right. You can locate the fuse needing to be replace by examining each one to see if the little metal post is broken. These fuses are rather inexpensive and can be purchased by any parts shop i.e. Advance Auto, Pep Boys, etc.
PULL the light switch out (must be in lowbeam setting for fog lights to work)
Bulbs burned out? Dimming rheostat is open? Bad headlight switch? Make sure parking and tailights are working (same circuit)
If a person bought a 6 prong fuel pump relay for the 1977 Mercedes 450 SL that needs a 5 prong relay, this will not work. The 6 prong fuel pump relay has to be exchanged for the right one. Inserting the wrong electronic parts may lead to a fire.
I believe the efficient way to work in Africa would be joining the peace corps
Yes, they will work great! I would like to have a case to carry mine in, though.
yes there is . under the hood on the drivers side , you will find a fuse box , it is the white one in the center row of fuses third from the left . you will know if that fuse is bad if your cruse-control and your back-up lights also do not work , they are all on the same fuse !
enter code 11122, that should work. I needed the radio code for my 1992 Mecedes 190E, after the battery had been disconnected, so I called the dealer, who gave me the 4 digit code over the phone, no charge. I called and the code they gave me was shorter for a 190e it is 1133
It is possible that your wiper switch is bad. The switch can be cleaned with an aerosol switch cleaner if that does not work then replace it. Pls let me know how it goes Regards Ehi
The little pot metal gear on the odometer shaft is slipping. The speedo needs to be opened up, and that gear either superglued to the shaft or replaced.
There is a fuse for the gauges, check it.
Sounds like the light bulb is either loose or burned out in the dash. Replace it.
if it is all the gauges it's probably a fuse, or just some, like speedo and odometer it could be a bad wire
Saftey first chock your car and set the parking brake. then move your shifter down with the car off but the ignition on you will have plenty of room to work install it then
check the fuse under gauges
common probem with the 190e class vehicles. he problem is he motor and regulator assembly. find a used one in the wrecking yard and replace the complete assembly with cable regulator and motor. good luck
There's nothing wrong--your 190E 2.6 auto does not have an overdrive. The transmission's top (4th) gear is a 1.00:1 ratio. The 2.6 cruises at 2900-3000 rpm at 60 mph naturally. You still should be getting around 28 mpg. There are 5sp-manual conversions, and you may even be able to convert to a later Mercedes 5sp automatic with some work, which would certainly lower your cruising speed rpm. This would probably end up being cost-prohibitive, however.
91 octane at sunoco (low premium) bring a calculator and estimate how many gallons you need. It will work. You will have to walk in and pay in cash.
