These times are based on athletes wanting to compete at the highest levels. Very few 10 and under and 12 and under runners compete at the 100 meter distance it is better to factor these times down to 40 meter splits or better yet for common American 40 yard splits>

Its really hardd, and my 40 year old son is running at a 1:01.28 time for 400m.
I am the mother of him and Im 41 years old and I can just make it 1:02:44. I am assuming for a 12 year old you should be able to run, between, 0:35 - 0:45.
well im 12 and i can run it in 28.36 but im not a runner or anything came first at state didnt practise but yeah i one i guess im a freak or something *flicks hair*
I'm 12 I can it in 28.01 and my friend who's 10 can do it in 27.79 (now he's a freak, he's going to be in the Olympics when he's older.)
