According to the U.S. State Department:

The U.S. Passport Card can be used to enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda at land border crossings or sea ports-of-entry and is more convenient and less expensive than a passport book. The passport card cannot be used for international travel by air.

Where can someone find cheap Tommy Bahama shirts?

Tommy Bahama sells clothing through their online website. They have a store too, but they are expensive, sometimes they do have deals or run sales on certain shirts though.

You didn't say if you want new or used. You won't find Tommy Bahama in new retail stores cheap. If you want a better deal, new or used, look on ebay or any auction site. Used shirts are far cheaper. I've seen used Tommy Bahama shirts sell anywhere from $15 (which is rare) to $30 and $50. New shirts can go anywhere from $50 to $90. I currently have about 25 of their shirts, a few were new, but the majority were used. I spent anywhere from $20 to $40 each on ebay.

What do people in the Bahamas like to eat?

We eat lots of seafood such as crab shrimp and other sea related animals.we grow our own food also. like:corn berrys broccoli carrots and few other things.
Crawfish (local rock lobster) conch (pronounced 'konk'), land crabs, and fish such as Grouper, Yellow Tail and Red Snapper are local and tourist favorites.

Conch (pronounced 'konk'), is a mollusk (shell fish like an oyster), is a perennial local seafood favorite. Unlike the slimy oyster the meat of conch is firm and white and is prepared in a variety of ways including conch chowder, conch stew, conch salad, popular conch fritters, and is also deep fried as "cracked conch".

Boiled fish and grits is a favorite breakfast. Boiled fish is also delicious served with homemade Island bread. Grouper is the most popular fish used for boiling. Bahamians are experts at cooking this fish which is flaky, white, tender and mild in flavor.

Other specialties include Bahamian stew fish (made with celery, onions, tomatoes, spices and fish), Bahamian crawfish, peas n' rice (consisting of pigeon peas with salt, pork or bacon, tomatoes, celery, rice, thyme and pepper) and Johnny cake (pan-cooked bread made with butter, milk, flour, sugar, salt and baking powder).

A typical Bahamian meal consists of crab and rice, delicious steamed fish, served with baked macaroni and cheese and a good helping of potato salad. This is followed by desserts such as coconut or pineapple tart, bread pudding or guava duff, a delicious dessert that is made through a laborious process of folding the fruit into the dough and boiling and is served with a sauce. This meal is topped off with a large glass of ice cold "switcha" (lemon, sugar and water mixture) or beer. Such a typical meal also explains why their are so many Bahama Mama's and why heart disease and diabetes is so rampant in the Bahamas.

A typical Bahamian Christmas meal consists of baked ham and baked turkey with stuffing, green peas and rice, yam or sweet potato, baked macaroni and cheese, potato salad, coleslaw and vegetables.

Why is the Bahamas an archipelago?

I am from The Bahamas, so my opinion may be a bit biased. But I believe that the fact that there is no other place exactly like it in the world makes it special. I mean sure there are other Caribbean countries with similar features, but nowhere is quite the same. The fact is we have the most beaches, over 700 islands and cays and of course there is Atlantis on Paradise Island (which is awesome by the way). Those appeal to anyone from tourist to the locals. We also have a unique history. Then there are the people which I guarantee you are very different from most people you will meet (Caribbean or elsewhere). Anyway you get the point. All these things are what makes The Bahamas so special.

What are the two main types of farming in the Bahamas?

Farming can help the economy by providing jobs. Some farms are labor intensive and they are in need of plenty of manual laborers and you don't have to be a professional or have to have a degree to qualify for this job. Farming provides raw materials that can be exported which would generate income. When we send these items to other people, we receive money. Farming would also help our economy by us having fewer things to import because when we import we have to pay money of freight, gas, shipping etc. By us having fewer things to import we can save lots of money. Another contribution farming can make to our economy is by us not having to depend on tourism heavily anymore because we have farming.
