To clean the inside of a Kenmore dishwasher Ultra Wash II begin by washing down the interior walls with a wet sponge and some dish soap. They place some white vinegar in a bowl on the top shelf and run it on the quick wash cycle.

Hydrogen peroxide. Take a cotton ball and put Hydrogen Peroxide (right from the brown bottle) on the ball and squeeze out the excess. Then gently rub the blood stain in a back and forth motion until all the blood is removed. Once removed, take another cotton ball and saturate with cool water and rinse the area with that. Wash it all out as soon as possible in the washing machine on cold/cold.

NEVER wash any stain in HOT or put the item in the dryer before the stain is removed. That will set the stain.

You may be able to get a dried stain out however by using this method.

Never use bleach; it will yellow the item permanently.

Mustard is a dye stain, which makes it very hard to wash. Start by pretreating it and rinsing. Repeat the pretreatment and then wash it as you normally would. If that does not work, you might try bleaching if the cotton is white or color-safe.

Although models may have variations in the process, the basic way in which a dishwasher works is by releasing detergent, which can come in several different forms, and rinsing/sterilizing the dishes with extremely hot water, before drying them.

Go to any automotive supply store, find the detailing dept. buy a container of leather cleaner, follow the directions. Automotive leather cleaner, i have found to work really well.

First bought Meguiar's leather cleaner/conditioner for my beige leather seats.....did nothing to clean them (I'm using a horse hair brush). Than bought Autoglym leather cleaner.....also without any improvement. Went to detailer who suggested using Spray Nine on a white rag (white so the colour of the rag doesn't bleed to your seats from the Spray Nine.) This worked awesome, another advantage of the white rag was I could actually see how much dirt came off my seats. I of course conditioned my seats after I was finished cleaning them.

When to wash your hands: You should wash your hands before and after handling food, when switching from raw to cooked food, after touching your face, hair, clothing, contaminated surfaces (like a wiping cloth, the garbage can, cigarettes, water bottles) and anytime they are or may be contaminated. How to wash your hands: Turn on water, wet hands. Apply soap, lather briskly for at least 20 seconds making sure to scrub between your fingers, your wrists, your fingernails. Rinse the soap off, dry your hands with a clean paper towel and then use the towel to turn off the water.

One way to remove gum from clothes is by placing the item of clothing in a plastic bag, ensuring the gum doesn't stick to the bag. Seal the bag, and place it in a freezer for a few hours. The gum will freeze, allowing it to easily be removed from the clothes. You can also do the opposite and submerge the clothing in very hot water, before trying to scrape of the gum.

Cleaning glass/mirrors. It is commonly thought that glass cleaner does the cleaning. It's no substitute for soapy water

First, wash your glass (including windows and mirrors) with a solution of warm or hot water, dish soap and a rag, sponge, or squeegee. Powdered no-scratch cleaner works fantastic for cleaning mirrors, glass, ceramics, and metals because it scrubs off hard water residue without scratching the surface.

Wipe down surface with a dry lint-free cloth or lint-free paper towels.

If you want to clean glass and be environmentally friendly, clean the glass with vinegar and water, dry with a lint-free cloth, and rub the glass with newspaper. No streaks! Make sure you use some elbow grease -- it requires pressure to properly clean glass.

Alternatively, spray glass cleaner on a paper towel and clean the glass surface. The glass cleaner acts as a shield to help keep spots and dust easy to remove. When misused, glass "cleaner" will leave streaks.

Polish furniture. Like glass cleaner, furniture polish isn't meant to be a cleaner. However, it can be used for cleaning. If you'd like to use furniture polish, make sure to carefully read the labels and find one made specifically for what you need.

Using all-purpose cleaners. Be cautious with all-purpose cleaners. They aren't always safe for every purpose you'll have in mind. Make sure to thoroughly read labels before purchasing to ensure it fits your needs.

Working outside. Outdoor tasks can help create a better living environment. Raking leaves helps to prevent mold growth that happens in wet climates after raining. Raking regularly will also assist in dropping the bug count in your yard. Raking will also leave your yard looking neat and cared for and offer more room for grass to grow and sunlight to reach.

Vacuuming is the most effective way to clean up all the dust and other loose junk that accumulates on your floor (and it's practically a daily necessity when you have shedding pets). If you're always putting off vacuuming, try using a dry dust mop (the microfiber kind works well) if you have tile/wood floors.

You can use a carpet sweeper (non-electric machine you push that has brushes underneath) if you have carpet. Both involve less fuss than getting out the vacuum and will let you go longer between vacuuming.

Freeze the wax by applying ice and allowing to set for 5-15 minutes. Scrape off the now brittle wax. For scraping, you can use a razor blade such as the ones used during installation. Be careful not to injure yourself (it's rather difficult to scratch granite, but use caution.)

If all of the wax is gone, use mild detergent (such as dishwashing liquid) in water and clean the counter-top.

If a film or residue remains, use warm to hot water with the detergent or a non-abrasive cleaner that is safe for your counter-top.

If a residue remains that is particularly difficult to remove, GooGone has shown great success and is safe for most granite counter-tops. To be certain, check with your manufacturer.

For an unsealed counter-top, if it is light in color and/or the wax has left a colored stain, use a poultice to draw the stain out. Hydrogen peroxide with baby powder as the absorbing agent works well. Mix to a thick paste, apply to the stain approximately 1/4 inch thick and let set until completely dry. Remove the baby powder, wipe with a damp rag. Reapply if necessary. (This can also apply to a counter-top that has not been properly resealed.)

As always, it is best to check with your manufacturer for their recommendations prior to attempting any stain removal.

I found that, after carefully scraping what wax is possible, the best product to remove the wax is hand cleaner from the auto parts store. It is slightly abrasive such that I applied 409 Granite cleaner before and after the "Gojo" (aka Goop).

There is a bunch caled NRSA, National Stone Restoration Alliance on the interent that do nothing but fix stains, etches, cracks, and granite fabricator screwups. I would check with them. Be sure and tell them what type of granite and what type of stain.

Be sure and use the special cleaners for granite, the one recommended for your particular sealer that was used. Reseal often.

Yes it does rust.

Ductile iron has better corrosion resistance than gray cast iron. Some alloy cast iron has better corrosion reisistance. However, any cast iron will rust without any surface treatment.

To clean cherry wood bedroom furniture, you will first need oil soap, and a lint free cloth. Pour 1/4 cup of the oil into a gallon of water. Put some of the solution onto your cleaning cloth, making sure it's only slightly damp, and not soaking wet. Start cleaning the wood by slowly and gently rubbing in circles. After you are finished this, let the wood dry for about half an hour.

Get 2 lemons, warm slightly in palms of hands by rolling inbetween. cut lemons in half, and use a small amount of rock salt, sprinkle rock salt sparingly on cut end of lemon. Scour pan with lemon, dont press too hard though or the lemon will turn to slush! Rinse thoroughly, works on both the inside and outside and is an antiseptic and antibacterial as well as smelling lovely. Also leaves your pots sparkling and can be taken when camping.

Your favorite household cleaner will be fine. Black appliances are enameled the same as white ones.

Dawn makes a product called Power Off. It works great. If you want a solution using products from around the house, I would try soaking in a solution of hot water, dish soap and vinegar. The soap should loosen the grease and the vinegar helps to dissolve it. You may want to use around 1 cup vinegar per gallon of water for heavily baked on grease.

If you have scratches on a wooden table, the easiest way to remove them is to finely sand the area with a soft grade sandpaper, such as 100 grit or higher. Once you've lightly sanded, you can polish the area with a rubbing compound or special oil made for wood surfaces. If the scratches are deep, you may consider filling them with a matching wood putty before sanding, so that the marks are removed and the surface is smooth after sanding and polishing.
