Geese do not have to be killed for pillows. Sometimes the down comes from slaughtered birds. Other manufactures pluck the birds while still alive. This is painful to the bird.

If an infant plays too much 'Duck Duck Goose', then it will become an addiction. And if you have an infant addicted to 'Duck Duck Goose', you have a serious problem. A 'Duck Duck Goose' addiction can lead to serious problems later in life. For example, one might think one is a goose, and might try to fly, and we all know where that ends up.

Geese cannot produce milk. Technically only mammals can, although some birds make a milky substance they regurgitate to their young. If you mean "Can geese take milk" I wouldn't recommend it, as birds are unable to digest lactose, and may get stomach upsets and diarrhoea as a result of dairy intake. Lactose-free equivalents should also not be given, as they are toxic to birds.

Sex determination of geese and other birds is done by examining their cloaca. The cloaca is a common duct for urination, defecation, copulation, and ovulation.

It is possible for a goose to go up to 35 days on the nest before her goslings have hatched.

When a goose sits down on her nest it does not mean that she immediately drops the eggs into it. Most Canadas will sit on their nest one week before beginning to lay the eggs and the eggs take a day each to lay.

If you are positive that she has been on a layed egg for 35 days, you need to contact a wildlife rehabilitator. Call immediately if she is sluggish, keeps her head down, feathers puffed up or has a vacant or tired look in her eyes. She is ill and is need medical attention.

She's got an upper respiratory infection and needs antibiotics (I'm not kidding, I'm serious) Take her to a vet ASAP.

They really don't hide. They have good enough hearing and a wonderful contact system with their fellow geese that if there is a predator anywhere in the area, a goose will emit a warning call to tell all the other geese in the area to watch out. If the predator is nearby they will take to the skies to escape...most of their predaitors can't fly. If they have young who cannot fly usually the father will put up a fight. You may think a coyote may have the upper hand but a goose uses it's beak like a knife and can strike a powerful blow...maybe not enough to kill, but really hurt.

She wouldn't carry it off on her own; she can't. Sounds like she was attacked or threatened overnight by a predator and was forced to abandon her nest. I am sorry.

Both like algae, bread, nuts, vegetation (yes you may feed them vegetables and eggs, though find out directions on how to prepare these), specially made pellets, duckweed, meat (look for directions here too), fish and other pond animals.

This is easy. Take the rocks out of the nest and dispose of them. The goose will have nothing to sit on and leave or lay a new clutch of eggs.

Haha, no. I have had several chickens placed in large coops with geese and ducks. By all means do keep their cages cleaned with fresh straw, but I have never had any problems with my chickens dying by eating water birds poop. If you have other foods and grass available for your chickens you shouldn't have any worries about that in the first place. Make sure you have several different water dishes and/or ponds available for them all to drink from. Geese and ducks make a big mess of their water by poohing in it - and that can be harmful to the chickens. So basically: just keep extra food & clean water around. Also, keep clean straw available for them to nest in. Other than that - enjoy keeping your chickens with your geese! They should get along just fine and be best of friends.
