When mixed with 180-325mg paracetamol, this drug, known in the USA as 'hydrocodone' but whose approved name is dihydrocodeineone, becomes a mild opiate analgesic suitable for mild to moderate pain.

Apparently now the German health authorities have reclassified Dicodid as a 'narcotic' making it more difficult to access. Shame, it's the best antitussive in the world, and certainly helps my chronic back pain. Not nearly as strongly as OXYCODONE but better than its parent drug, dihydrocodeine. Kills the two birds with one stone if yiu add about 250-300mg paracetamol into the mix.
