Do people of the islamist faith eat meat?

It is important to note, first that Islam is a religion, but Islamism is something else. It is a political ideology whose goal is to bring the religious tenets of Islam into the daily functioning of a government and its laws. Islamism is a modern movement whose roots began contemporaneously with the rise of Salafism in the late 1800s and early 1900s in Egypt. Islamism is not by nature violent or expansive. Many Islamist movements have concrete nationalistic goals such as the Islamists in power in Turkey.

Since Islamism is not a faith, it has no food requirements or prohibitions. However, Islamists, in advocating Islamic Law, argue that people must not consume foods prohibited to Muslims. Muslims can only eat meat slaughtered in the proper way (Dhabiha) and cannot consume pork.

What was the origin of the city of Makkah?

Mecca began as an empty and desolate valley. God directed Abraham to take Hagar and Ishmael there. The Bible says that Abraham took them to "Paran". In fact, the very first name for the valley of Mecca was, in Arabic, "Faran". The name means "The two runaways". That is because after Abraham left Hagar and Ishmael there, a caravan from Yemen came through the valley and found there only a woman and her child; so they thought they were two runaways. That is where the first name of Mecca came from.

Abraham used to visit his son in Paran, from time to time. They, together, layed the foundations for the House - the Kaabah.

Unlike what Bible scholars will telly you, Ishmael was included in God's Covenant with Abraham. through ishmael came the last prophet of God - Muhammad.

Why do unmarried women wear head scarves?

A Muslim woman wears a hijab (head cover) in order to cover her hair. It is a requirement in the religion of Islam to do so. So when she wears it, she is obeying Allah's (Gods) word in the Quran. It is also a outside expression of her personal relationship and personal decision between herself and Allah.

No one can order or force a woman to wear the hijab (head covering) or else she would be wearing it for the WRONG reasons.

However, a Muslim woman is required NOT ONLY covering her hair, but to wear modest clothes as well. And only have her hands and face showing. So no mini skirts, tight jeans, low cut tops etc. (she can wear those types of clothes WHILE in her home and when no male guests are in the family home that may see her)

The reason why she chooses to wear it, is to protect her privacy, and her beauty from those that are not worth to view it. (as in any male that is NOT her husband or family member) So she would wear it when she leaves the home, when photos are taken of her, or if guests come to her home that are male.

She still has hair styles and colours and highlights just like every other woman in the world does. But her hair and her natural beauty is her glory and her honour. She is valued and respects as a precious jewel.

Is the holy book of Islam the Muhammadian Bible?

No. According to both Muslims and Archeologists, Mohammed was responsible for neither the content nor the physical writing of the Qur'an.

According to Muslims, God revealed the Qur'anic verses to Mohammed who would recite them to the community. Then other Muslims would join him in the recitation. The Qur'an was kept as an oral document until the reign of Caliph Othman who had the Qur'an written down.

According to Archaeologists, there is no consistent agreement as to who wrote the Qur'an, but most believe that the Qur'an was finalized at least fifty years if not one or two centuries after Mohammed's death.

When we Muslims prostrate ourselves before God, we are acknowledging God's absolute power and our reliance on Him for life, health, help, guidance, protection, and resurrection in heaven. Why did people start believing in Islam religion?

There are many reasons as to why people may become Muslim. From a non-religious perspective I could say:

  • Because they were indoctrinated. Their parents believed it, the belief was imposed on their impressionable mind, and they had no choice.
  • They interpreted a natural (though unusual/improbable) phenomenon as a miracle.
  • Their mind played tricks on them and they saw/heard something demonstrating the existence of Allah.
  • They concluded that Allah exists because there is no alternative explanation available to them which seems as reasonable.

In the past tense, you may be referring to the time when Islam was starting. People became the first Muslims because Muhammed was a very respected member of their community. Although as I understand it, the first Muslims were ostracised, their numbers continued to grow in their independent community. The alleged circumstances of the foundation of Islam give great credence to the truth of the faith. The isolation of Muhammed at the time when the revelation came to him strongly implies that the Qur'an could only have come from God. With such overwhelming evidence, conversion was easy.

From the opposite perspective I could say:

  • Because Allah revealed himself to them
  • Because Allah's intervention into the world was seen by them, so they believed
  • Because they heard Allah speak to them, or they saw the Prophet Muhammed walking towards them across the desert sands

There are other reasons, of course. I could not speak entirely on behalf of both sides, so there will be things to be added.

How Muslim man and christian woman get married?

Any non Muslim country will not care if you are entitled by your religion, as a Muslim woman, to marry a Christian man or not. It is your Islamic religion that requires you, as a Muslim woman, to marry only a Muslim man or a man who converted to Muslim by his own choice and by full faith in Islam religion. If you, as a Muslim woman, don't follow this requirement and instead you marry a non Muslim man, then it is your choice and you hold responsible of this choice in front of Allah (God in English) in the Judgment Day (Resurrection Day).

Who is the most important prophet of Islam?

*******************************

If Allah is the Muslim god, he would not be the prophet. According to Islam, Muhammad is the most important prophet of Islam for Allah.

Almighty God (Allah) is the sole Creator, Sustainer, Provider and ruler of the worlds he has created. He sent about 1,25,000 Prophets (May peace be upon them all) to guide humans to the right path of Islam. Most important Prophets (some of them are called Rasool) mentioned in the holy Qur'an are: Hazrat Adam, Hazrat Idrees, Hazrat Noah, Hazrat Abraham, Hazrat David, Hazrat Soloman, Hazrat, Hazrat Ishaque, Hazrat Ismaiel, Hazrat Moses, Hazrat Jesus Christ (May peace be upon them all). The last and the most important of all Prophets being Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (SAW) who was born in 570 Ad in Makka, Saudi Arabia.

How often must Muslims perform hajj?

It is required for an able Muslim to perform hajj once in their lifetime; if you perform it multiple times, then that's a voluntary act of worship.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbaas that al-Aqra' ibn Haabis asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): "O Messenger of Allaah, is Hajj every year or just once?" He said: "It is only once, and whoever does more than that, it is a voluntary (act of worship)."

Who decides date of eid?

I'm assuming the reference is to the end of the month of fasting. Supposedly, a month ends when two adult males witness the crescent of the New Moon. This is usually about two days after the new Moon date on the calendar. In practice, in these days of mass communications, some central authority takes over putting out the word. However, if you were somehow out of contact and wanted to be strictly observant, sighting the crescent Moon would do it.

Where was the first Muslim community started?

Islam; in its general sense; means full submission and surrender to God, the Creator and to His will. In this sense Islam started by start of universe creation. All God creatures were created on full submission (Islam) to God. All God prophets called their people to Islam; including Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them). Islam per Torah revelation to Moses is called Judaism. Islam per Bible revelation to Jesus is called Christianity. Islam per God revelation of Quran to Muhammad is called the same name Islam.

Is there a special food Muslims eat?

The Muslims may eat all fruit, vegetables, corn etc as the other humans eat. Anyhow, Almighty Allah (God) has made certain animals Halal (lawful) and some others Haram (unlawful). He has also taught how to slaughter an animal. Kosher is the way an animal should be slaughtered. The Muslims don't eat the following; "Forbidden to you are the dead meat and blood, and swine flesh, and that on which the name other than Allah's has been pronounced at the time of slaughter, and that which has died by strangling, and that which dies due to a blow, and that which dies due to a fall, and that which is killed by impact, and that which has been eaten by a beast except the one that you slaughter, and those that are slaughtered at the altars, and that you distribute by drawing lot with arrows, all these are sins." All clean and pure things are lawful to the Muslims.
