What should you take for braces pain?
Well I guess if you are talking about medicine you should take a Tylenol or Advil. But also if you are getting braces tightened take one (medicine) about half an hour before so it's already kicked in.
There are so many adult medications to get over the counter (OTC) that can be used rather than teething medications. They have sensory deadening agents in them, but longer lasting.
One natural suggestion is the oil of cloves. Has worked for decades! You rub on the area affected. DO NOT DRINK IT. Do not use anything with alcohol as a base.

Why does a person in shock may stop feeling pain?
In response to a traumatic injury the human body releases a series of hormones, namely Epinephrine, but also endorphines. This is part of the 'flight or fight' response where the body ceases any non-vital functions (digestion for example) and the heart rate, blood pressure and lung capacity al increase to maximise your chances of survival. Epinephrine has pain killing properties and acts on the central nervous system. Often the release of adrenaline is an immediate response and will wear off, hence when those who have a severe injury feel no pain initially but it 'hits' after a couple of minutes.
When groin pain occurs in an individual, the cause can greatly vary between women and men; for instance, conditions affecting genitalia are likely to contribute to the pain. While men suffer groin pain due to underlying problems with male genitalia, women could have a few potential causes which are not related to gynecological reasons whatsoever.
One of the most common reasons that women suffer from groin pain includes suffering an injury in the hip joint. While this means that the injury has occurred in an entirely different area, the pain can still easily be found within the groin area, which is due to something called referred pain. Women often suffer an injury to the hip joint due to repeatedly executing the same repetitive movement and overdoing it. Alternatively, direct trauma can cause injury to the area.
A hernia can also be the source of groin pain in women. This is when one of the internal organs manages to burst through its tissue, poking at the lining of the abdomen, and this most frequently occurs with the intestine. This will usually result in an abdominal lump that is both visible and palpable. Due to the close proximity with the groin, pain in the groin will typically be felt.
Ovarian cysts might also be a source of groin pain in women. These are tiny sacs that, as the name suggests, can develop directly on the ovaries. While they will not often manifest any symptoms, larger sacs will produce pain in the groin area. More severe instances of ovarian cysts can result in the sacs becoming filled with blood and bursting, which causes internal bleeding.
Other potential causes for groin pain in women can include rashes to the groin area, as well as a yeast infection, which occurs when too much fungus accumulates within the vagina, causing a rash in the area of the groin. Finally, another source of rash would be ringworm, a type of skin infection that -- again -- occurs with fungus, which leads to redness, severe itching and groin pain in general. Whatever the cause of the groin pain, it is best to figure out the source and treat that to fix the pain in the groin.

If you didn't hear your knee pop, then the most likely cause of your pain is a Lateral Meniscus Tear, which is very common in sports and athletic activities like yours where you're putting extended pressure on the knee.
If it still hurts after a week, and you've done the usual RICE stuff (Raise it, Ice it, etc.) then you really need to see an Orthopedist and get an MRI or plain film X-Ray done to determine the extent of the damage.
You probably don't feel like it anyway, but just in case the urge is too great, don't be going back out and putting more pressure on your knee or you'll wind up with damage that may be with you the rest of your life. You're young now and can heal fairly quickly if it's treated properly right away, but if you don't let it heal properly you could be worse off down the road as you get older.
Take care of it until you can get a doctor's opinion.

One view:
Insects cannot feel pain. This is because an insectsnervous system is directly connected to the muscular system, and not to the brain.
Humans have special nerve cells called nociceptors, whose purpose is to create the sensation of pain. Insects do not have any nociceptors, so pain is not one of their senses. Things like hunger, thirst, and fatigue are among the sensations they are able to feel.
Second view:
I don't think I agree with the statement about nociceptors. For instance, below is a quote from "A Question of Pain in Invertebrates" by Jane A. Smith (http://dels.nas.edu/ilar_n/ilarjournal/33_1_2/V33_1_2Question.shtml):
"Invertebrates, it seems, exhibit nociceptive responses analogous to those shown by vertebrates. They can detect and respond to noxious stimuli, and in some cases, these responses can be modified by opioid substances."
But Smith continues by observing that nociception doesn't always imply conscious experience of pain, which may be what the first respondent was getting at.
I personally think the jury is still out as to whether insects feel pain in the same meaningful sense that people do. This piece of mine gives some further views on the question, many supporting the idea that insects suffer: Alan Dawrst, "Can Insects Feel Pain?" (http://www.utilitarian-essays.com/insect-pain.html). For instance, some insect behaviors seem hard to explain in the absence of basic conscious awareness.
Third view:
Probably not, at least for most insects.
Firstly, with the exception of the fruit fly, there are no pain receptors found in insects. In mammals, pain occurs when our nociceptors fire. The signal then travels up our spinal cord and then reaches our brain where the stimuli is processed in different areas of the brain. The limbic system then gives us the unpleasant emotional experience associated with the stimulus. Insects have neither nociceptors (except the fruit fly) nor a limbic system.
While all organisms will try to avoid negative consequences (even plants and bacteria), pain does not necessairly have to be apart of the equation, as it is simply another survival mechanism that may not be necessary for the survival of all organisms.
The view that they do not feel pain is further supported by observation. An insect with severe injuries will continue normal activity and continue to apply undiminished force to the injured regions of their body apparently without drawing attention to the injury. Also, locusts have been observed to continue feeding up until the moment of death while being preyed on by a predator.
The fruit fly may be an exception to this rule. Nociceptors have been discovered in the fruit fly. Additionally, several experiments show that a fruit fly will additonally learn to avoid negative stimuli. This may hint that the fruit fly in particular is capable of feeling pain.
While there is no 100% guarantee for anything, the current consensus is that the majority of insects do not feel pain. And by the way, spiders are not insects.

It could possibly be due to any gas you may have, or even if you have to have a bowel movement. I've personally had this happen to me and found out that was the culprit. Hope this helps! Most likely, the female is not wet enough. Try using a lubricating jelly.
It could be pain in the Gluteus Medius muscle which is on the lateral side of the body, hence the hip. It could be lymphatic as well since there are several lymph nodes in the buttocks region that are very deep. It could be a nerve distribution issue in your body depending on size and post injury state.
