What would doctors do if you fractured your ankle 2 years ago and never did anything for it and it still bothers you?

They would probably do surgery if it didn't heal properly. There may be more damage to it because you never did anything for it. They would either put anchors in it or put some type of metal in your ankle to reconnect the two bones.

How many pains of ribs?

In humans there are normally 12 pairs of ribs. The first seven pairs are attached directly to the sternum by costal cartilages and are called true ribs.

Most people have 24 ribs, with 12 on each side of the body.

The ribs and rib cage are excellent examples of the human body’s multi-faceted and multi-functional design.

They are strong enough to support the skeleton and protect the vital organs in the chest cavity, including the heart, lungs, and spleen. Yet, the ribs and rib cage are also flexible enough to expand and contract as the lungs fill and release with the breath.

There’s a commonly held falsehood that men have one less rib than women. This myth may have its roots in the Bible and the creation story about Eve being made from one of Adam’s ribs.

This myth is exactly that: an unproven, untrue belief. It’s no longer held as fact by religious leaders of any denomination.

How can I remove the excess food in my tooth socket where I just had my wisdom teeth pulled My jaw is very sore after 3 days and I am in a great deal of pain I tried an eye dropper but its not workn?

go back to your dentist and get a syringe from him for that. This syringe has a curved end. You have to be careful though because you don't want to remove the blood clot. Rinse your mouth first to try to get it to "rise" up and then use the syringe to remove.

What household items can you use for itching and dryness on your neck?

In the past some people have used oils and some have even tried baking soda or meat tenderizer to stop itching. It is best to use commercial lotions designed to help with that problem. Gold Bonds ointment or powder works like a charm or hydro-cortisone in the ointment form can help. Some people swear by a product that comes in a green square tin called Bag Balm. I like it but it doesn't always help with itching. You can also use products that have benzecaine in them to stop the itching - see pharmacist for the best one to use on your neck or see your doctor.

How long after ear drops have been started for swimmer's ear does the pain last?

I currently have swimmer's ear and have been put on antibiotic ear drops. I have take 24 hours worth of drop doses. The pain is very irritating along with the "fullness" feeling. My Doctor (and many websites, such as WebMD) state that the pain should be diminishing 48-72 hours after treatment is started.

The relief cannot come soon enough. Until then, he recommended OVC pain relief pills (Tylenol, Aleve, Motrin). The was going to prescribe a Rx strength pain pill, but I would send to shy away from that.

What can cause ongoing pelvic pain when tests show no cysts etc?

Have you been to a Chiropractor? Poor pelvic alignment (torqued pelvis or tilted pelvis) can cause different kinds of lower abdominal, pelvic and lower back discomforts. I also was concerned that I had a cyst or something, but later found out my pelvis was torqued. This is fairly easy to correct if caught earlier than later. I required about a dozen adjustments before it started to hold it's position, because I waited almost a year before I thought to have my pelvic alignment checked. I now go in once every couple of weeks and since I've been holding well will now scale back to once a month checks. It might be worth looking into. Some Chiropractors offer a free first evaluation to determine your problem and what treatment you would need. I would take advantage of one of these, just to make sure.

One natural suggestion is the oil of cloves. Has worked for decades! You rub on the area affected. DO NOT DRINK IT. Do not use anything with alcohol as a base.
