You may have damaged the intricate set-up of the shoulder muscle(s) and possibly the ligaments as well. The coldness could be due to a small tear in the muscle and it could be bleeding which means the blood is not flowing properly to the area that is cold.Diminished movement/feeling suggests impingement of a nerve. If you cannot recall an event that may have caused this, then it may be something different entirely.
Why visceral pain is poorly localized and unpleased?
It is because of two major reasons.
1.The patient has no firsthand experince that different internal organs exist ie.one cant see them or observe them directly so even to localise where exzactly the pain comes from becomes awkward
2.The pain from the body viscus pass through two differnt pathways at the same time ie.one through the direct pathways that refers to the true place where it comes from and the indirect pathway that pass through sympathetic nerves and synapse in the same second order neurones as those coming from a specified area on the skin and thus this causes the pain to be referred on those parts of the skin thus one cant say where exzactly the pain comes from since it is referred onto two different places

Why do i have stomach pain after exercise?
I have the exact same problem; recently after dancing, running and the exercise bike i seem to get abdominal pain and it really hurts. I'm not really sure what causes it, but it might be that your slightly ill, and your body is weak therefore doesn't have much strength to exercise, hence the pain.
I'm not sure though. Any other suggestions?
Will it hurt your baby if you take an antibiotic for a toothache?
It is common for pregnant women to have to take antibiotics at times when pregnant. It depends on the specific antibiotic and the dosage as to whether it's safe for the baby or not. Your dentist or ob/gyn will be able to tell you which ones are safe to take. But never self medicate with antibiotics you already have, or with antibiotics given to you by someone else (relative, friend, etc.) even if you are not pregnant.
My arm aches so much, I feel like I could cut it off and feel better. Or why is there so much pain that I can not sleep and my fingers and arm are like they are on fire! I can not take it any more, I only got 2 hours of sleep last night. Everything is still the same. I need sleep. But my arm hurts so much, I can not enjoy doing anything. No matter where I hold my arm sleeping or not, I feel the same thing, some times so aching or burning, I just cry and not know what to do. I need some advise on what to do. I am taking ibuprophen, but nothing touches the pain. Please give me some answer because I am working and I need to work because I have kids that expect the holidays. It is happening now. It is hurting so much! I have had many tests on everything.
re: I have a similar thing - burning pain that feels like it goes up the arm, and down it into my fingers, but only affecting, in my case, the thumb, ring and pinky finger. I'm pretty sure mine is Carpal tunnel syndrome. I get it from typing too much (too much study) which stresses my wrist. Wrist joint becomes inflamed, compresses the nerve, and there comes the pain. I found it helps to keep the arm elevated (slept easier when the arm was above my head), and if at all possible to keep the wrist cushioned at all times whilst typing. I also bandaged the area to keep the wrist straight and used some sports cream (the type used when you get sore muscles from too much exercise - they have an anti-inflammatory action) basically to keep it as still as possible to allow the area to settle down and to decrease inflammation. It worked but it took time (like the pain after hard exercise may take days to go as the muscle recovers) - but i have to keep an eye on not stressing the area too much again - i.e take frequent breaks, stretch the area, make sure not to sleep on the arm - otherwise the pain returns.
Check with a doctor - sometimes this may be a symptom of something very serious like heart disease, or sometimes it may be due to a compressed nerve (in the spine, wrist, elbow), torn muscles, etc.
Could be carple tunnel or a piched nerve, you should check with your Dr.
Its about a quarter till 5:00 am. I just woke up with the same symptom.
I have been getting the side pain chronicly for the past 2 years on and off. Usually effects me when I lay down especially when I am on my back. Usually passes after about a minute when I sit up(with a lot of extra pain in doing so). Today was the first time I got up after it didn't go away, and was hit by a huge wave of nausea. Willed myself not to vomit because I feel the pain would have been excuciating since it stabs every time I take a deep breath.
Recently I feel it when I am sitting during my day to day. Been to the doc. They said it was IBS. But increased fiber does not seem to help. Cut out starches seems to help with any intestinal problems but the pain is still there.

Yes. People can become addicted to inflicting injury to oneself. I believe it too is considered a mental condition called Munchausen's syndrome. This is psychological and behavioral condition in which somebody makes up or induces symptoms of illness in themselves.
How can you minimize your groin pain?
The most popular recommendation for easing groin pain is to rest, apply ice, use a compression, and elevate the muscle(s). One may also choose to tape the groin to avoid further injury to the area.
Try speaking with a DO. Sometimes it's not treating the symptoms but the cause of the problems it self. Lifestyle and diet changes can do amazing things.

Does hydrocodone relieve pain in a person who is also on methadone maintenance?
No. The methadone works by binding the opioid receptors in your body. Hydrocodone is a weakened opiate derivative and therefore the two will not complement each other.
The pain could last for 2 weeks. But it could also be an infection setting in. Best to see your doctor if it doesn't settle down in a day or so.
