All snake subspecies should be housed individually. Snakes that are housed together can spread mites, bacteria and diseases back and forth. The worst pairing is a python and a boa, because of a disease called IBD (Inclusion Body Disease).

Python on average can grow upto 20ft. King cobra on average 15 ft. But before strangling king cobra, python has to survive from the king's bite...It's not easier. Unlike other snakes, King cobra natural habitat is to eat other snakes. So It has a advantage...

no you can not breed a python with an eel , because there breeding strategies are completely different for a start eel's mate under the water where as python's do not as they are reptiles and breathe air!

You might also want to use "safe sex." I think the best way is by using codoms. If you are looking into a more permanent birth control, tubal ligation is REALLY permanent. This can be reversed but chances of the reversal operation is very slim. A better operation is for men: vasectomy. It is safer for a man to go through vasectomy than for a woman to have ligation, also reversibility is better.

if your referring to UV. daylight hours so between 6-10 hours is good. as for a heat lamp. it must remain on at all times however in summer depending on what country your in if its hot enough you can turn the heat lamp off threw summer.

Reticulated pythons are nocturnal animals. (which means they sleep in the day and come out at night) They sleep aloft in a tree above deep waters to protect there selves from predators.

A Ball Python will not eat another snake. Ball pythons are nice and docile. They make good pets too!

Instincts should kick in with no problem, but be SURE to supervise to prevent serious injury to your python. I doubt it should be to much of a problem, though. If you usually dangle the rat in front of the python, do this with the live one.

-Side note: frozen/thawed is much safer! If your worried about nutrition you can supplement it.

Monitor lizards, snakes, cone snails, many birds, amphibians, most cartilaginous fish and baleen whales (with zooplankton) can swallow prey whole.
