Superman, also known as Clark Kent or The Man of Steel, is an alien superhero. He was born in Krypton, but left for Earth in his quest to save his home. His powers include superhuman strength, skin (defense), and speed, the ability to shoot lasers from his eyes, ice breath, and flight. What is lex libris?

Book of law!

===============================================

Answer: lex libris does not mean book of law, but "the law to, for,with by means of or in books", which makes little sense (lex being in the nominative singular case and librisis the ablative or dative plural).

Perhaps the question is really asking about the term ex libris, which means "from the books [of]", which is commonly used on modern bookplates. Bookplates are decorated paper labels pasted in the inside front cover of books to show ownership, usually with the name inscribed below the Latin phrase.

Does anyone else notice that on the 1950s Superman TV show Clark Kent was sometimes seen by Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen without his glasses on and they never acted as if they recognized he was Superman?

Clark Kent wore the glasses to keep people from being able to easily recognize him as Superman- but the producers for this very old show must not have thought about ordinary people seeing him with them off if they did not give any strange reaction to seeing him without them. That techincally would knock out the whole purpose in him even needing them if people did not figure out he was Superman when he did not have them on as Clark Kent.

Man of steel; The Man of Tomorrow; Supes; Boy Scout; The Big Blue; Smallville (by Lois); The Strange Visitor from Another Planet; The Last Son of Krypton; and The Metropolis Marvel.
