How much does a sterile processing tech earn?

Well, I am currently in the program and will finish on June 11, 2008, Hospitals all pay 20.36 as we speak however in 2009 or 2010 (forgot) the HEU (Hospital Employees Union) contract ends with healthcare workers so Im guessing after negotiations SPD (Sterile Processing Dept) staff will be earning close to or above 21 dollars an hour. I belive it is going up because they had a 15 percent wage cut over the last 7 years and its going back up thank god. So I think we will be earning about 35-45 thousand a year depends really on how much overtime you do but in a basic month you get 150 hours because they don't pay you for your 30 min break although you get an hour break on 8 hour shifts and ALL OVERTIME is DOUBLE TIME!!! and they have higher pay depending on what shift you work (Evening differentials) so if you work late you make a lil more. But I have only talked to staff at a Vancouver coastal health authority hospital but the HEU is all the same in BC.

I work in Houston ,Tx . And the pay for this job. (Sterile proessing) starts at $9.00-10.00 hr . It took me 2 years to get to $13.68. And I workrd very hard for that. March 24,2012. Vf

If starving can you eat flies?

Yes , If food is nowhere to be found, I suggest getting a butterfly net and collecting them in the thousands if possible, then cook (steam)with local vegetation that would be edible. Add spices and try to look for bigger things to eat. Lizards, beetles, rats, birds, cats, dogs, sorry but this is for people that are trying to survive and might be in Exodus in a war torn area. Be thankful for all your blessings because there are people out there starving to death everyday..
