A British Lord worked as intermediate between Argentina and Brazil to fix the dispute over the territory where now Uruguay is. The result of this treaty was the creation of a new country at the east of the Uruguay River (that's why Uruguay full name is "República Oriental del Uruguay", what means Eastern Republic of Uruguay). What South American countries have national capitals located on an ocean?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

There are at least three (not including French Guiana) and as many as five: definitely Guyana, Suriname, and Peru and probably Uruguay and Argentina.

Two national capitals on the Atlantic Ocean coast of South America are Georgetown (Guyana) and Paramaribo (Suriname). A third capital is Cayenne, but is it technically an overseas territory of France. Lima (Peru) is slightly inland but extends to the Pacific Ocean coast.

Montevideo (Uruguay) and Buenos Aires (Argentina) are both located at the mouth of the Rio de la Plata, which is more or less on the Atlantic.

How long does it take to ship a package from Hong Kong to the US?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It really depends on how and when they ship it. First class registered air mail could take as little as five days, while the post air mail could take as long as a month. You must also take Chinese holidays into account. In my personal experience, a package from Hong Kong shipped two days after I ordered it and arrived nine days after that.

Personal Experiences:

I ordered through SinoMobileParts on February 26th, and I have yet to receive my package as of April 15th. In fact, they sent out a second one on March 26th, because it seemed like the first one was never showing up, and that one has yet to arrive.

Uruguay is a Latin American country. It keeps no religious statistics. In an independent survey, about half of the people were Roman Catholic. A quarter of the population were Pentecostals, Protestants, and other Christians. There were a few in other religions but most of the rest had no religion. (Sometimes such surveys include Pentecostals with other Protestants, sometimes they separate them. In Latin America Pentecostals usually outnumber other Protestants by about a 4 to 1 ratio.)
