When the Revolutionary War started, Williamsburg, Virginia, was too close to the ocean and British war ships. As a result, the colonists moved the capital to a more secure location. Richmond was as far from the ocean as possible while still accessible to the ocean by river.

West Virginia's capital city is Charleston.

West Virginia is North-West of Virgina. They are adjoining states; West Virginia was once part of Virginia.

They have a lot of deer in Virginia. also some coyotes and other cat types. Bears and smaller animals.

Cornwallis was ordered to take control of a major harbor in the south where it would allow access to British ships even in the winter.
