Common causes repeat x-ray examination?
Some of the essential anatomy may have been cut off, or the positioning could have been better, like if the structure was over or under rotated. There could have been motion due to the patient moving. There could have been artifacts in the way that would need to be removed such as jewelry or metal snaps on a gown. There could have been a problem when developing the film. Or maybe the exposure factors need to be adjusted depending on the patient's size and condition in order to get a good quality image. There could have been many other reasons, we try to avoided repeats as much as possible, but it happens.
What is the effect of lethal dose exposure of X-ray to the body?
Lethal dose means you die from it.
hair falls out, gums start to bleed. internal organ failure.
extreme cases, damage similar to heat burns.
Are there cavities an X-ray can not see?
Absolutely! X-rays are simply a tool the dentist uses to diagnose dental disease. He also uses an instrument called an explorer to help him find decay that would otherwise be hidden.
X-rays cannot see through metal. Therefore, if decay is present around an old crown or filling, it probably will be hidden on the x-ray. X-rays are also often useless in detecting decay on the surface of the tooth directly facing the x-ray.
If you doubt your dentist, please get a second opinion. Its your right, and its your mouth!
X-ray required in Florida law for dental cleaning?
I don't know if it is law, but it is prudent.
A dental cleaning is treatment, and it is unwise for a dentist to treat a patient, even for a simple cleaning without first performing a thorough examination, including appropriate x-rays.
Dental x-rays allow a dentist to detect dental cavities and other pathologies that otherwise would go unseen. X-rays are quite safe, and the potential benefits far outweigh the risks.
If a patient were to develop a serious condition and lose a tooth, the patient might have a justified reason for suing the dentist who failed to perform a proper exam before treatment began.
In any case, it is in the best interests of the patient to follow the recommendations of their dentist and submit to the examination, including x-rays.
Why X-ray can not pass through the glass but can pass through the diamond or body?
X-ray actually does pass through plain glass, and quite easily in most cases. It is often very difficult to find a small piece of glass embedded in the human body because the density of most types of glass is not high enough to stop or absorb enough of the x-ray to make it show up against the normal body tissues. Perhaps you are thinking about the special glass window that a technologist or radiologist stands behind when watching you during your x-ray. That isn't regular glass, but a special lead-glass designed in specific lead equivalencies and standard thickness to stop radiation from penetrating under various radiation conditions. The lead-equivalency of radiation safety glass is based on exposures at 150 kV.
Some types of lead glass and glassware are used for their decorative properies and do have a fairly high density. They can in some cases absorb a great deal of radiation and show up quite well on a routine x-ray. These aren't the standard type of glass. Now days these types of decorative glass "lead crystal"are not made from real lead due to safety concerns, but blends of barium sulfate, etc.
How does an image from a CT scanner differ from a regular X-ray scanner?
The CT scan uses many X-ray images in thin slices to make a 3D image.
When did Pastor Angie Ray die?

What color on the color spectrum is closest to an x-ray?
Ok, the electromagnetic spectrum is
RadioWaves-Microwaves-Infrared-(red orange yellow green blue violet)-UltraViolet-XRay-Gamma
These are part of the visible color spectrum
So violet would be the answer.
A helix
When and why did he make the portable x-ray machine what does it look like?
THESE DEVICES ARE ABSOLUTELY ILLEGAL! no amateur, science fair or hobbyist mart exists for such devices, which are under the control of the F.D.A. Certain things man WA snever meant to see (or abuse) Reason is Radiation hazard!
What does a Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry technology do?
This machine takes a picture of the bones in the spine, hip, total body and wrist, and calculates their density.
What can you do to get a dog's x ray picture?
well, I'm not really recomending it, but your dog could eat something and have it x rayed.
No it wont. It will just be like you had a x-ray. As if you were the one with a broken leg or w/e. We all get in situations when we need x-rays now and then and once is no danger.
The x-ray of the spinal canal after the injection of a radiopaque dye is called?
Cerebral Angiography
What are opaque areas on a knee x-ray?
On xray films black black is air, pure white is very dense, like a metal ring or coin. Gray colors might be tissue, muscle, tendons, etc. The denser the part the whiter it will be. That is why bones appear white.
Does carbon paper hides the gold ornaments from x ray scanning?
