Because the baby inside of you is growing. What you eat goes to your baby. The stomach acts much like a balloon if you blow air into it. If it didn't the baby wouldn't have anywhere to grow and babys also move while inside the stomach.

well showing of a baby bump varies lots between each pregnancy no matter our age, but i would say about 2 months you may look a bit bloated, but this could happen much later still, it also depends on your body size and shape, some people show from very early on and continue to get bigger, others don't show till later and all of a sudden their bump just keeps growing, theirs no exact way to tell how and when you will notice your baby bump.

If you are referring to human babies it takes nine months give or take. Since this question is categorized in the panda category I will also say that it takes giant pandas between 95 and 160 days from conception to give birth.

Nursing Herbal Medicine Handbook (Eds.: J. A. Schilling McCann, W. J. Kelly; Publisher: Lippincott Williams & Wilkins; pg. 27-28) says, "Basil contains estragole (70% to 85% of essential oil) as a major component and smaller amounts of safrole. Estragole may have mutagenic effects if taken internally in massive amounts, but it's safe to use as a spice....Pregnant women, breast-feeding women, infants, and young children should avoid using basil" in medicinal quantities.
In plain English, you can use it in food, but using the essential oil is not safe in pregnancy.

You will be able to touch your abdomen and begin to notice the increased size of your uterus usually around the same time that you begin to "show", near week 10 of most pregnancies. You may start to feel the movement of the baby around the fifth month (20 weeks). Women who are overweight usually don't feel it as soon as smaller women, but most will feel the movement, pokes, and kicks by week 21.

Yes, it is. The baby needs blood also. So where is it going to get it from? Mama. Having a thin flow of blood can cause a person to feel chilly, even if it's 75+ outside. It's worse if you have iron-defiencey anemia. (Went through this already)

It totally depends on your body type and how much fat you already have. Typically though, people don't show much until after 3 months.

For babies? Sure it is, as long as the milk doesn't pick up any bacteria as it trickles down some surfaces. But if you lay on your back, then the milk won't leak/won't leak as much. Good luck! Besides, the babies, during pregnancy, are inside your body, so the milk won't affect them. But for you? Sure it's safe to drink.

Many things can cause this: * Believing your pregnant can somehow result in a woman feels physical symptoms or believing she is having symptoms of pregnancy. * Hormone imbalance. * Birth control. * Worrying excessively about being or falling pregnant can also cause physical symptoms to appear. So basically apart from the hormone imbalance and birth control, its all in the power of the mind. Psychologically believing something very strongly or worrying about it constantly can cause physical symptoms to appear but these symptoms will only be noticeable to the woman.

There are medications that have been very successful in preventing the development of HIV/AIDS in infants born to infected mothers. I believe they are most effective if given immediately after birth so the mother's doctor must be aware of her status prior to delivery.

Yes, it depends on how skinny you are. The skinnier you are, most likely the sooner you will show. Also, if this is not your first pregnancy you will start showing sooner.
Asked by Angel29
If you are slim you will probably start to notice the difference when you are 14-15 weeks pregnant. If you are carrying more fat in the abdominal area you will notice it later.

It's not likely that your stomach is actually getting bigger due to you being pregnant in the first month. It is probably just water retention and can be due to your last period, upcoming period, or YES a muffin in the oven. Only time will tell...... or a home pregnancy test :) P.S. They are most accurate if you wait until 3-5 days after your expected start date.

Sometimes your nipples will get darker during pregnancy. This is caused by hormones. Your nipples will go back to their original color once the baby is born.

Since your pregnant everything will be abnormal. Light is ultimatly good, but you'll have days were it will be brownish color. My wifes periods were all messed up. She would bleed when she wasnt suppose to be and it would last for up to 2 weeks. So for specifics I cant tell you how long it will last because it will vary from person to person. Good luck with your pregnancy. My wife and I have been married 12yrs. and have 4 daughters (yes I know my hands are already full, but I wouldn't give it up for anything, they are my life! Anyways good luck and I'll try to answer any other questions you may have.

each pregnancy is different and all women sow at different times. you may start at around 3 mths or maybe even as late as 5 mths. some women show bigger as they may have more fluid around the baby this does not mean there is something wrong if you are not showing you will in your own good time.
