Im pretty sure x-ray techs make a lot more than entry level dental assistants. In fact is 100% sure. This isn't an answer but i would recommend staying in the x ray field
First of all, being radiology or x-ray certified along with your dental training means you have gotten your dental radiography license. This license only certifies you to take dental radiographs. X-ray technicians go through a completley different training and schooling than dental assistants. I am a dental assistant in MA and the average starting salary is approximetly $13-$18 per hour depending on the office. Dental specialities such as oral surgery or orthodontics may also increase your salary. When you become more experienced and have some time assisting (Ex. 2-8 years) you can expect higher earnings such as $20-$25 per hour, which is very good for a certificate program!! Most of all make sure you like the office your in!!!

Yes- x-rays can diagnose pleurisy as well as any other fluid in the chest cavity or in the lungs. Pleurisy is seen as an area of consolidation(which appears white on film) it may settle in the bases of the lungs or in between the fissures of the lobes of the lungs. Pleurisy is fluid in the pleural cavities of the lungs.

Is a chest x- ray necessary to determine bronchitis or pneumonia?
A chest x-ray cannot diagnose bronchitis. A chest x-ray may show pneumonia, but one can have pneumonia with a normal chest x-ray.
How long will it take to get a x ray on my teeth by the dentist?
It depends on how willing you are to die.
Why does x-ray circuit require rectification?
An X-ray tube requires a direct current (DC), that is, electron flow in only one direction. Therefore, some means must be provided for converting AC to DC.
Why you use high kvp for chest x-ray?
To get through the grid if there is one. To penetrate and show all thoracic anatomy on the radiograph. To penetrate the mediatinum and show a faint shadow of the spine.
an x-ray maker is a toy for kids that you can buy. it is a kiddie version of a real x-ray.
Why x-ray film using yellow paper?
Yellow paper prevents static electricity produced during the direct conduct between the x-ray films
The purpose of rotating the X-ray tube target is to?
The x-ray tube target is rotated to reduce wear and tear on the anode and to keep the anode from overheating.
What role does the line focus principle play in radiography?
Its essentially the angulation of the face of the target on the anode to create a smaller effective focal spot size, which will improve the sharpness of the final image
What are the likely faults and repair of an x-ray machine?
Like any other complex piece of machinery an X-Ray Machine should have a Users Manual with it. The Manual will detail what you can fix and what a highly trained Technician will be needed to fault find and fix.
What type of clay has more density to prevent x-rays to see through?
Dense clay, particularly varieties high in iron and other heavy minerals, can effectively attenuate X-rays due to their increased density. Baryte clay, which contains barium sulfate, is also known for its high density and is often used as a shielding material in X-ray applications. These clays have a greater atomic number and mass, making them more effective at blocking X-ray penetration compared to lighter clays.

Difference between hard and soft x-rays?
The difference between a hard x-ray and a soft x-ray is the amount of energy that they both use. Hard x-rays are used to see the inside of the human body. Soft x-rays are not used often because they omit a lot of radiation.
An X-ray has a frequency in the range 30 petahertz to 30 exahertz, that is 30×1015 Hz to 30×1018 Hz.
What is a juxtaposition error?
A juxtaposition error is an error that results from the "position' of elements.
It is often used to describe errors in the medical field that occur because of Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) interfaces. For example, if a healthcare provider wants to order a lab test for a patient, they might accidentally click on a lab test next to the desired test on the CPOE screen. As another example, there may be two patients with the same or similar names, and providers might choose the wrong patient because of their proximity in the electronic system.
Y-rays do exist. The Y is the Greek symbol for gamma. Gamma rays have more energy than x-rays and are therefore put after them.
