An ingrown hair can be differenciated from a boil because it is a smaller red bump with a hair in it, and usually doesnt inflame as big as a boil. A boil gets very red and hurts to touch it may look like an ingrown hair in the first stages but it gets very big and soon drains pus and blood. Edit: It's unrelated to pimples, it is a liquid (I forgot the name of it) that dries on the surface of openings in your skin to start the healing process. Depending on the opening it can also be found on things like cuts and scrapes.

There is a fairly new type of drug called roaccutane which when first used was known as 'the miracle drug!' you take it for a 4 or 6 month course and you get less and less break outs till eventually you have none! there are certain conditions you have to abide by whilst taking it. if you are female you have to be on the contraceptive pill as the drug can deform your baby and have regular pregnancy tests. and everyone has to have regular blood tests as they can affect your kidneys and liver. They do have certain side effects like all drugs the most common being dry skin, eczema, sore lips, and joint pain. But it is worth it trust me! i have 4 sessions 6months at a time and now my acne has completely gone! yay!

you leave it alone! Do not squeeze or pinch, once it has 'arrived" you can treat it with some acne cream. NEVER touch it with your nails!

its just that i had a cystic pimple on my under ware line and it was really bad for a while (months) but eventually went away (kind of. it was still clearly puffed out but wasn't hurting anymore) what i did was when it was still a pimple i got so frustrated trying to pop it that i stuck a safety pin in it just to get the puss out. the zit hurt so bad (before hand) that sticking a needle in it felt like almost nothing. a little bit of puss did come out the first time but later was only blood. this was over 6 months ago and now out of cohere has become an open wound about the thickness of a pencil. I asked my mom about it and she said it happens to her too. its left behind scars. Same with my dad and aunt. It hurt to touch (like a pinching) and looks "wet". i have the same problem. it should be normal because there most likely period bumps but i dont know why they appear on your scalp. there mostly always on my hairline I break out too before my period, but never on my scalp; however, all women are different. I break out on my back sometimes.

That answer is good, but if it still sticks out too much put a very light touch of blush on it so it will match the shade of red in your skin tone.

Probably not scientifically proven but if I eat almond or any other nuts a few days in a row I get very large pimples. They are not painful nor filled with secretion but they take a long time to heal. I love nuts but from my personal experience I can say that my skin react really badly to nuts.

I was always told by my Mom that turpentine was good for treating emerging pimples and to remove soreness from minor wounds. Using it on pimples always would relieve soreness overnight and would dry up the pimple causing it never to form. I have also used it to treat the pain from ingrown toenails. I would caution on using on large areas as it can have pretty nasty side effects. To this day, I keep a small bottle in my medicine cabinet.

Yes, I have the same problem. It is very common. I have tried steaming also and it doesnt work very well. Here are some other options.

1. Pore strips. Pore stripes do work well except they can cause more blackheads to come so i recommend doing that maybe only once a week.

2. NEVER ever squeeze them because that only causes scarring.

3. Use gentle cleansers and toners. Wash your face twice a day.

4. Twice a day rub a warm face washer over your nose to losen any dirt.

And i know how annyoing blackheads are because mine wont go away either. You are not the only one believe me!

This is called a whitehead. It is pus building up from the inside of the pore. (As it reaches the surface, it is white so it gives the appearance of a small white bump usually in the center of the pimple.) Try to resist popping it, as this can cause it to become inflamed or infected. Both are NOT good! You can put on a tpoical acne cream to help it heal faster, but there is nothing to worry about. It is not dangerous. Washing your face with an oil-eliminating scrub a few times a week could help to minimize the occurance of whiteheads in the future.
