The action replay card is a card that you insert into your DS or DSi and it allows you to enter cheat codes. It also allows you to enter your one codes. I would suggest not buying it because it erases memory from the system and alot of times, breaks it.

IF U MEAN BY USING "ACTION REPLAY CODE MANAGER" FOR DS…. I HAD THE SAME PROBEM AND I WILL HELP!!!! 1st if subscriptions says load failed And the CUSTOM CODELISTS doesn't work you must re install the software from the disk. IMPORTANT: ON THE LAST STEP IT FREEZES FOR A WHILE……JUST WAIT AND WINDOWS INSTALLER WILL INSTALL!!! THAT'S THE PROBLEM. Without windows installer I will say load failed . And the CUSTOM CODELISTS doesn't work 2nd. Click on software upgrade in the action replay code manager (the icon that looks like a DS card on the top right) and it will say searching… Then install the new update. 3rd. Now create a new custom codelist. Connect your DS and tap ( on the DS) the mouse icon. Then when you see the lists of games on your action replay cartridge. Scroll down the list until you see the game you want to add cheats to (IF THE GAME ISNT THERE FOLLOW MY HOW TO ADD GAMES BELOW) and click and drag it to the the new custom codelists right click on the game in the codelist you just put there and select add new cheat and enter the code u found on the site. Then drag the game back to the list you got it from and it will say would u like to overwrite? Click yes and wait for it to finish and THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT!!!! Yes there are just go to pcsx2.net (using Internet Explorer 8+ 'cause FireFox won't work with some websites) and go to their forum and click on the forum thread called [Post your pcsx2 pnach files here] ,alternately you can go to Codejunkies (official cheat code website) and get your codes from there.

datel came out with one for the psp a while ago. it is just like the action replay for ds except it is for psp.

The worst thing that could happen is that the file will corrupt and you have to start the game again, but it barely ever happens. Don't worry about it too much, people use AR all the time, me included and nothing has ever happened to mine.
