you can avoid medicine abuse by not overdosing on pills, not taking pills or medicine that is not proscribed to you, or you can go to therapy or medicine abuse classes so you can overcome medicine abuse or so you won't start going or getting into medicine abuse.

Just make sure you wait 6-8 hours after taking a diladid! People say 12hrs but i took two 30mg oxy codone the other day at 10:30 a.m. & then took an 8mg suboxone at 4:00 p.m. and It did me real good! So bottom line I would say wait a min. of 6 hrs!

You need to become comfortable with yourself before you can be comfortable with someone else. As recovering adicts (alcoholics fall into the same catagory- even though some don't think so) we have a hard time dealing with reality, which is why we seek chemical release. Until you can be comfortable facing reality without any chemical crutch, you won't be able to have a successful relationship. This process usually takes at least a year... some take much longer. yes it is very dngerous to take oxy with subs!! you can die no doubt about it. what suboxin does is prevent you from doin an oxy it is a opiet blocker. if you take a sub and try to do an oxy an hour or so later you dont get high or if you do an oxy and then do a sub you will get severe withdrawl symptoms or go into cardiac arrest be careful with both of these drugs.

That is why alcoholics have to go to detox centers. But they still have a psychological dependence, and if they stop treatment at that point, they will likely start using again and get the physical dependence back. So they then have to treat the psychological urges to use the substance and the underlying causes.

I am in Outpatient Rehab and when I take random drug tests they say suboxone "sometimes" shows up as a lite opiate on normal drug tests. A really good site for answeres about drugs is www.drugs.com/forum or www.pharmer.org

it does not show up on a reg five or ten panel test. the test specifically had to be for bupenorphine. the drug in suboxone and subutex. which is very un common. ive been on suboxone for a yr and a half and taken drug test for legal reasons and the only person that has a test for it is my dr that prescribes it to make sure im still takin it. but that's all. ive seen in super rare cases is may give a false positive for opiates but that's happened to me once. hope this helps

A doctor can be responsible for a patient becoming addicted to a a drug if he/she prescribes the medication irresponsibly. They can also become responsible if they aren't prescribing medication by their states' law. This can be considered malpractice.
