Can you sue your spouse for addictions and loss of income?
Addiction is a disease. If they have gotten treatment, it would be like suing someone for getting chemotherapy....or for having cancer.
Just leave them if you can't handle it. The suing part shows your disease.....being controlling and vengeful. Sounds like you probably need some counselling.
Is whispering to yourself a condition?
Whispering to oneself is not necessarily a problematic condition, and does not in itself indicate any mental or emotional dysfunction.
For most people, addiction is bad. I'll tell you from personal experience. I'm not completely addicted, but I always keep taking it. i take tramadol, it's a pain killer with half the strength of oxycodone, or maybe even 1/4th the strength. I'm up to 7, I take them at school. It feels good but I always end up throwing up sometimes. Addiction makes you keep coming back for more, when you really shouldn't.. Addiction is easily preventable. Just don't start.
I am telling the truth this happened in July its already Jan why would i bring this up if im still trying to figure out how it happen. they also said it could have been morphine
this is from drugs.com: Buprenorphine is an opioid medication. Buprenorphine is similar to other opioids such as morphine, codeine, and heroin however, it produces less euphoric ("high") effects and therefore may be easier to stop taking.......
Naloxone blocks the effects of opioids such as morphine, codeine, and heroin. If Suboxone is injected, naloxone will block the effects of buprenorphine and lead to withdrawal symptoms in a person with an opioid addiction. When administered under the tongue as directed, naloxone will not affect the actions of buprenorphine.
I just don't understand and it still bothers me to this date. 6 months later may i add
they said i had a very low level in my system. i told them to retest it and they said they do when it usually has a positive result. I was on house arrest when this happened i am so lucky that they believed me. i think they could tell that i was telling the truth. I read on some sites that it make cause a false positive depending on who is doing the gcms test
Edit**Hey it happened to me too dude at outpatient...luckily it wasnt my freedom on the line or the law after my ass...however looking that guilty when you are doing so well is a major bummer. Sometimes its just a fluke though and the counselor said that as long as its a fairly low level they know you are not using. Only over a certain level in your urine do they get really suspicious usually.
What is the meaning of compulsion?
Compulsion means an irrational behavior or mannerism that is very difficult to resist - such as a 'compulsive' gambler. I am not an expert in this field, but I think the medical and psychiatric belief is that many "compulsions" are related to brain chemistry being out of whack somehow. Compulsion in and of itself isn't necessarily bad, only if the compulsion manifests itself in dangerous or self-destrucive behavior, or if the obsessive behavior has a negative effect on other parts of the person's life.
It is highly unlikely. The most common cause of birth defects is drinking alcohol during pregnancy, even in small amounts.
If you are referring to scarlett fever, it is certainly not much fun, but it is treatable and normally has no lasting effects. With proper treatment, probably penicillin, it usually clears up in one to two weeks and you can expect some peeling of the skin where the red blotches occurred.
See a doctor if you have not done so already.
Will you get withdrawal symptoms from taking suboxone one time?
If you're asking if you get withdrawal from the sub itself, you wont. soboxin (not sure of the correct spelling) relieves your withdrawal symptoms from narcotic drugs.
No. Addiction is feeling a physical need to do something all the time and feeling withdrawal if you don't. Alcohol and nicotine are easy to get addicted to. Marijuana however has no addictive property.
Who publishes essays about alcoholism besides AA?

Why do drug addicted person find their ways to hurt others physically?
Drug addicts have no self respect, no or low morals & values. Therefore they have no conscience when it comes to hurting others physically or mentally. They are always looking for the next high & are always chasing the first high. However they never can achieve that first high so they continue trying to get it even though they will never get it. The body then in turn builds a tolerance for the drug. Drug addicts are great manipulators & always blame everyone & everything for their problems. If you are being hurt physically by a drug addict even though it is someone you love YOU MUST GET OUT OF THAT RELATIONSHIP! Normally drug addicts hurt the ones closest to them first & then move on to others. Drug addicts can very easily steal a pocketbook from an old lady or hit someone over the head in a robbery & think nothing of it due to their mental status. When the brain is under the influence their brain does nothing but think where am I getting the next one & who do I have to hurt to get it. Try the Big Book of AA or NA & read through it to understand what someone is like & also it will help you in understanding your role in the addicts life(enabler). I hope I helped since I have been sober & have been a drug addict & lived both lives. Sober is definitely better!!!!!!
Can crohn's disease be linked to drug abuse?
No. Drug abuse history has never been linked to Crohns disease. Children as young as 3 can develop Crohns disease. Crohns is not something you have done to yourself.
NO...I've been on suboxone for two years. It's ok, but when you cheat and try and take painkillers, etc it has no effect. This stuff trully blocks it. I was even in the hospital and had a shoot of morphine and it barley made a dent. (broke my nose)
I've been thinking of switching to methadone-becuase I just can't stop fighting the cravings. So, my answer is no, suboxone does nothing to make you feel any different.
Do teens or adults abuse drugs more?
Probably adults who have the income from jobs to sustain these costly habits. of some interest- as recently as l943 ( based on an interview with a former attendant) even at a New Jersey Mental Hospital in that year- drug abuse was so rare there were no examples to show to prospective employees ( as part of their training) with the exception of so-called therapeutic addicts- who acquire drug habits from painkillers following traumatic accidents- the latter case also explains more drug cases in Veteran"s hospitals as we have all manner of battle shocks- broken and missing limbs, etc and the use of drugs would be part of the therapy- hence therapeutic.

When do mothers start getting their babied addicted to salt?
when they start giving them formula and putting salt in it
my guess, would be some sort of powder substance, which could be crystal meth, cocaine, or crushed up pills, or, depending on where you're located, certain types of heroin comes in powder....but the corners of matchbooks or heavy paper are usually torn apart and used to push all the powder into lines or piles.

Could drug addicts be put into a medicine induced coma until their body no longer craves the drug?
It can be and is done, in combination with narcotic antagonists, and is said to provide a complete detox in a very short time. It is called Ultra Rapid Opiate Detoxification (UROD). However, as always, there is no free lunch.
First of all, the procedure is done under general anesthesia. This is a major medical procedure, dangerous in itself when used unnecessarily -- and especially so when used in conjunction with opiate intoxication. There is a lengthy recovery period ranging from 6 hours to 2 days, during which the patient must be closely monitored by specially-trained staff.
In addition to the risk of general anesthesia and the recovery period, not much is known about the stresses that UROD puts on a body that has already been weakened by the addiction. The anesthesia stops the patient from consciously suffering the effects of the detox, but it is still severe. This is a further opportunity for problems to develop. Many patients have died during UROD. It is far more dangerous than traditional detox.
Patients are not provided with follow-up care, and do not receive any of the tools necessary to help them maintain long-term sobriety. One of the reasons for that is that, while legal, UROD is thoroughly discredited among addiction professionals, and reputable practitioners want nothing to do with it.
People who relapse after UROD are far more likely to overdose due to drastically reduced tolerance for the drug.
Finally, UROD costs $15,000 and up, and it is not recognized as a viable treatment method by most insurance companies. Very few will pay for it.
All in all, an expensive, lousy idea.
