Are there any possible health issues with him or maybe his parents? Money troubles? This doesn't mean he's hiding anything from you, he may be thinking it through for himself or a way to break it to you. There can be many factors here. Does he have siblings that you could talk to? A friend at work perhaps? It's not going to be easy to find the key that opens this lock, but you have to try all the keys on the ring...you may just find it.
