Unless your jailbreak has in retrospect, taken over your iPod Touch and locked you out of it or corrupted it. They vary in prices. Many are free, the more functional ones cost money (around a dollar or two). Some of the more advanced apps can even cost hundreds of dollars.

To reset your Mac's password:

1) insert the Mac OS X install DVD that came with your Mac

2) restart the computer while holding down the C key to startup from the install disc

3) you may release the C key once installation program begins

4) click through a couple of screens until a menu bar appears at the top of the screen
