Smoking near ANY computer will coat the internal hardware (and outside) with the same tar and nicotine that goes into your lungs. You would have to be a heavy smoker in a small room to really do any major damage though. Click the Apple Logo top left of the desktop. Then click (About This Mac). Now click (More Info). Click (Storage) on the toolbar.

Macbooks are pretty much anti-virus! They run at same speed all the time. Never have any major issues.

And I am a total Mac fan... I got a MacBook a few years ago and I've like Macs more than Windows ever since.
