best way to test a relay is remove it from board, get a 9v square battery and touch the switching terminals on the relay, the relay should click if its working. From reading the audiforums it seems the antenna booster (or diversity box as Audi calls it) is under the trim piece at the top of the rear window. You have to *PULL* the trim piece off to find it.

Frankly, I've always considered security to be a pile of nonsense. I wrote doe the instructions from the dealer on a fresh card and put it in my manual. If you want to steal my car for this old radio, you've got bigger problems than me. I later replaced the radion with a more modern unit with updated features and I no longer have the problem.
