If you put TALLER (width does not effect speed, only traction) tires on a vehicle it will increase your potential top speed, if you put SHORTER tires on a vehicle it will have a slower top speed. I say potential because if your vehicle does not have enough power, it will not be able to turn bigger tires at high speed. Also, a taller tire will lower your acceleration in most cases, and a shorter one will increase it, assuming you can maintain traction. Remember to have your speedometer calibrated if you get taller/shorter tires, otherwise it will not be accurate.

you should stick with whatever antifreeze the manufacturer recommends. Those colors aren't there just for marketing purposes; each one denotes a different chemical composition. If Audi recommends that you use yellow or pink antifreeze (which they do for newer models), then stay with it. Remember also that your cooling system will still cool and lubricate itself with as little as 30 percent antifreeze to water content. If you're a little low and need to top off, you can't go wrong with deionized water.

Very simple first you need a memory saver to save the memory of your car, like stereo, seat position, ect electronic stuff to keep them alive while you are changing the battery. Normally it applies 9.0 V to the cigarette lighter. just plug in.

Than find the battery and remove the negative (black wire) terminal first, and second take the positive battery terminal (red wire). And take the out battery hold-in screw and take out the battery before you put new one make sure the terminals are clean.

I don't know if it's the same, but on my 2002 Audi error code 3 is a jammed/incorrectly installed disc. I got this today trying to insert a disc, but the player wouldn't take it. Apparently if you pull the fuse and leave it for a while, the stereo will reset itself. Make sure you've got your code first though.

Check the bulb to see if it's is D1S or D2S, it is probably D2s. If you can't tell, the ignitor (what plugs righ tinto the bulb) will tell you. A square ignitor is D1s, and a round one is D2s. There are lots of sources for replacement bulbs, I got one at hidplanet.com.

Of coarse balance of the wheels and alignment have a big part in vibration of a vehicle. If those are in specification, loose parts can play a big role for vibration. Inner and outer tie rod ends. ball joints, wheel bearings. I had a customer come in once and complained about a shake. the wheels were in perfect balance but before doing the alignment i always do a thuro inspection of the suspention. Believe it or not I told him it was a loose wheel bearing. He said nonscense the vehicle only has 10,000 miles on it. I said ok and on the way he went. He actually came back and apoligized to me after taking it to the dealer that replaced the wheel bearing. He has been a customer of mine ever since.

My 98 A4 Quattro 2.6L alarm goes off if I have even the window cracked, or the sunroof cracked. It's because these cars have interior motion sensors that set off the alarm in addition to exterior. My theory is that cars driving by create a vibration similar to a loud truck driving by a sensitive exterior alarm and setting it off, and trips the interior sensor.
