How do u remove te rear wheel bearing on a 1999 Audi A6 Quattro

Use the key. Your actuator has bit the dust, hence the reason you cannot use the keyless entry.

BUT..

in short.. the crank shaft gets aligned to TOP DEAD CENTER by using the slash mark on the crank belt pulley and lining it up with the plastic mark at about 1 o clock as a clock face would be relevant.

with that in place.. the TWO CAM SHAFT WASHERS in the shape of sideways diamonds.. ( some times referred to as "WING THINGYs" need to be sideways and point to each other... )

Special NOTE... the BIGGER hole goes to the INSIDE and points to each other...

Bigger = just barely... like 1.25 times the size, its barely oblong

MORE special NOTES: DONT remove the BELT OR PULLEY from the CAM SHAFT with out first UNDERSTANDING THESE NOTES ABOVE and second marking with Paint and or Scratches alignment marks for belt to pulley and pulley to "wing thingy" ( washers).

this SAME NOTE APPLIES FOR THE CAM GEARS IF YOU ARE INSIDE THE ENGINE inside the timing CHAIN... put identifying scratches on the CHAIN to the CAM GEAR.

LAST NOTE: best practice for IDENTIFYING marks.. might be a pattern like this

gap | gap | and usually mark to a MATCHING TOOTH on either the belt of pulley. I do both scratch then PAINT with liquid paper ( white out), If the paint gets rubbed off.. then the scratch is still there.
