Is there a fuse for Audi a6 fuel gauge?

The Audi A6 does not have a dedicated fuse specifically for the fuel gauge itself. Instead, the fuel gauge is part of the vehicle's instrument cluster and relies on other electrical components, including the fuel sending unit and related wiring. If the fuel gauge is malfunctioning, it’s advisable to check the relevant fuses for the instrument cluster and the fuel system. If those are intact, further diagnosis of the gauge or sending unit may be necessary.

How do you replace headlight bulb on 2001 Audi a6 on driver side?

I just replaced the passenger side headlight on my 2001 Audi A6 and it turns out to be one of those things that seems so simple once you do it once. I'm not a mechanic so I'll try to explain in simple language. First, don't mess with anything in front...this is a behind the headlight assy job. Start by taking out the two screws holding the air intake. These are the two screws to the right of the two larger "star" bolts holding the headlight assy to the frame of the car. There are three pieces to the air intake you have to remove to get at the back of the headlight. There are no clamps or anything holding these in so just grab and pull these out of the way once the screws are removed...pretty easy putting them back on once you are done.

Now, if you look at the back of the headlight assy, you will see two thin metal clamps that hold the back part of the headlight assy in place. Grab these, with a little muscle, and pull them out of the way. The back of the assy will still remain in place due only to it being in place there a while...simply remove this back piece by grabbing on or near where the thin metal clamps once were - shake and pull it comes off easy.

This now exposes the burned out bulb. There is another wire clamp surrounding the stem of the bulb. "undo" this clamp...to hard to really describe, but by now you can figure this part out - you have to get it all the way out of the way on both sides of the bulb for the bulb to come out. Once out, disconnect the power cable from the bulb and replace bulb. Note: don't touch the glass part of the bulb - I think because the oils from your skin may cause a more rapid decay. Another note: The bulb won't turn on when you reconnect the wire and turn the lights on...only when it's placed back into it's spot and the small wire clamp back in place before it will turn on. (likely to be a grounding deal) Place the rear cover back, clamp it back down as it was before and then replace the air intake pieces..put the two screws back into place and you are done.
