Well, the best oil is either Mobile 1 or Castrol FULL SYNTHETIC OIL... 5W-30 or if you have higher miles 10W-40... PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU USE SYNTHETIC, this is what VW/Audi uses from factory on all their engines... Contrary to what many people say... YOU CAN NOT use regular oil on a car that has had Synthetic oil... it is almost like mixing water into oil... due to the synthetic oil creates a barrier in you engine to help protect it longer... if you put regular oil in an engine running Synthetic, this will cause EXTREME Engine Sludge Buildup... causing the engine to not operate correclty and costly repairs to the engine...
How do you replace instrument cluster bulbs in a 96 Audi?
It's fortunately not too hard.
1) Adjust the steering wheel all the way out and down
2) Lift vertically the U-shaped molding covering the accordion molding behind the steering wheel
3) Unscrew the two screws holding in the instrument cluster.
4) Pull the instrument cluster straight toward you
5) Carefully disconnect the harnesses in the back of the instrument cluster
6) Remove instrument cluster
7) Swap out the bulb (its not a standard T5 wedge bulb, you have to get them from the dealer)
8) Re-assemble

I don't know why you would want to disable them... but;
1- if you need to do repairs and you're afraid that they might trigger
then UNPLUG BATTERY and you're safe.
2- If you don't want airbags while driving then you will have to go to the dealer
as only they can disable the airbags, and or shops using VAG COM software
but they need special dealer code when accessing that special module in VAG COM
which not everyone/ every mechanic has.

How do you replace the front turn signal bulb for a 1999 Audi A6 Quattro?
I spent hours trying to figure this out and wanted to share my solution as it is different (and easier) from the answer above.
To replace the right front turn bulb, open the car's hood and remove the air duct on your left. Simply pull up on it and it will pull out. Then remove the covers for the headlights to give you a little more room. You will need to have very small hands to reach the turn signal bulb. My husbands' hand did not fit in there, but mine fit fine, with a little maneuvering. Perhaps you could use some pliers to pull it out with if you don't have small hands. Just feel around where it looks like the back of the amber turn signal would be, and you will feel a squarish piece. Pull on it gently and make sure it wiggles the light you are trying to get at. If so, pull it out all the way and up as far as the wires will let you, without straining the wires too far. Mine came up to about where the covers would be for the headlights. Pull the bulb out and replace with a new one, then reverse the procedure to put it back in place.
