I have 2001 Audi A4 1.8T quattro turbo may be same as yours.

here is how to do

Underneath of the front car you will find on passenger side the plug screw (12mm i think) it is on the side of engine oil pan (not transmission pan if you have an auto trans) you drain all used oil in the engine by this plug (ofcourse you have a pan to collect all used oil).

On the driver side at middle of the engine you will find an oil filter (it is a big round thing) You need an oil wrench to open it and oil pan. becareful the oil inside the filter will drip out when you open oil filter . I open oil filter from the top of the engine car I see it is easier than remove it from bottom of the car.

Get your oil filter from online or from auto part store or dealer (your choices) and use (5qt or 1 gal) Synthetic 5-30 oil or 10-30 (high mileage) oil brand it is up to you I use Castro full Synthetic 5-30.

Then after old oil drain out ... repalce new oil filter, plug the oil drain plug back and refill your engine oil from engine oil cap ... check your oil stick(orange color) on top it showns you oil level on it.

close the oil cap and run engine for 3 minutes then turn it off. Wait 5 minutes then check your oil stick again to make sure engine has enough oil ... Add more oil as nessary .

You done.

Hint: Please recycle use oil at pepboy or kragen auto part stores or recycle center in your city.

Front of the engine just behind the radiator. Not an easy job for the lay-mechanic.

Clutch interlock switch may be misaligned or faulty.

Just get them from a reputable auto parts counter & they will give you the right ones. They can check it in their book & once you replace many will give you a rebate (core) on the old ones if you want to take them in.

Use Exactly what Audi recommends as written in your owners manual. You listed no year so I would only be guessing.

On many cars, the driver door does not lock with the others if the car is in park (when the key is in the ignition). But, it works fine when you put the car in gear. This prevents you from locking your keys in the car.

you need to replace the hazard light switch the turn signal control module is built in the hazard switch.just had same problem a few months ago.

Mine was close to $1200. Worth its weight- its the labor that kills you, not the parts. If you get it done, make sure the tensioner, the water pump, the thermostat, and the rollers are replaced. Since they are there, make sure the coolant is changed too.

its under the engine, oil filter side ,part of the water pump housing.

1- lift car up

2- put oil drainage pan under (for the old oil to drain)

3- loosen .. take off oil pan screw (be careful do it slow as the oil will come out and

it might be hot, wear gloves)

4-drain all the oil

5-unscrew old oil filter (you can get to it either from the bottom if you have your car

lifted high up, or if you're doing it on jack stands then you can get to the oil filter from the

engine compartment but will need to unscrew the coolant reservoir to get to it)

6-once all the oil has drained, take new oil filter and dab of the old oil and rub it around

the rubber gasket rim of the new oil filter to avoid drying out, then screw in the new oil filter, don't over tighten it, just enough to screw it in and a tad more that's all.

7-put back the oil pan screw (but I recommend use new washer each oil change they are cheap), screw it in don't over tighten.

8-put in new oil

9-check oil level make sure you have enough.

10-close cap, start engine let it run for a minute, turn it off, wait a minute..

11-check oil level again.. if needed fill more..

DONE!

** Dispose old oil correctly, the environmentally friendly way, please don't dump it

in the garbage, put in old oil bottles and dispose off correctly.**

Follow the air intake from the engine to the front of the car. There is a rectangle box. Unclip the four clips surrounding box, lift up, pull element out. Next clean the air box, and replace it with a new element. Clip all four clips. Done.

The brake light switch is attached to either the top of the brake pedal or the brake master cylinder. Its normally a two wire switch and shortig ou the pins should, with the igntition on, cause the lamps to light.

The port is accesible from the backseat. Located under the ashtray in the center console.

So you won't lock your keys in the car. A simple, intuitive way that the Europeans do, however the domestic car companies can't think about doing something like that.

Audi claims the transmission fluid in their a6 Quattros doesn't need to be changed, and is good for a lifetime. If you do want to change it, you will need to get under the car and remove the rear splash guard that covers the transmission belly pan. From there, you loosen the Allen head drain plug and let the fluid drain. Remove the pan and discard the gasket, and then replace the new gasket and reinstall the pan. Pump fluid back into the transmission through the fill hole located near the back of the vehicle.

You should have a Brake Wear Sensor that will give you the light on your dash when it's time to change brake pads.
