I'm dying for it but i think there's no chance. disney auditions never focused on arab places... I;m 20 years old but i still wanna be a diney star. i will keep on trying and trying till (i hope) i get it eventually.

If you are seriously interested in auditions, you should find an agent and follow the trade magazines. Without an agent, most likely you would only be able to go to 'open auditions' for extras.

People have said that an agent is needed for large role in the film. this is not true. Hundreds of child actors can get lead or supporting roles in film without an agent, not just getting extra roles. lead roles can be obtained by, as you say, auditions.

Regardless of what you say, I would maintain that for the most part, you DO need an agent to get plum roles because those auditions are not usually open casting calls, they are most often closed auditions and to get a shot at one of those you need good representation.

Open auditions are a great way to find new talent.

I have read various interviews with the extras and stuff and they all say Waterloo road casting is done through agents only so I'm afraid that's the only was as far as I know! If you really want to get into acting I recommend an agent anyway - Spotlight company are really good, look at their contacts book for details (type Spotlight into Google and youll see). I am an extra in Waterloo road and it is possible to access it in many ways although the best option is through an agent. Im with spotlight but to be honest it is very expensive with very little work and i would recommmend euro kids or scream. They also have a huge connection with Waterloo road. Hope i helped!

If you need some audition sources to use, Backstage.com is really helpful for looking for legit auditions. Another tip would be to understand what Union and Nonunion is when people ask you about it. Union is an organization to make sure that you get paid for your work and the correct amount (AFTRA and the others are similar). In Union, you either pay a couple of thousands of dollars to get in or you wait in line for the evaluation to see if you are qualified, because Union is usually for big time actors but they really help you with the fraud situation. Actors like Leonardo Di Caprio, Kate Winslet, George Clooney, Scarlett Johanson, etc are in Union, AFTRA, or some type of group. I hope I helped!
