The first roll cage ever built was in 1964 by a man Called John Aley
(founder of Safety Devices roll cages) after he had a near fatal crash and wanted to improve the rigidity of his car. The first roll cage was nothing more than a few strengthening bars strategically placed to reduce the deformation of the car in case of an impact. After the FIA realised the benefits of roll cages they became mandatory in all competition cars. After further research and development was put into roll cages it was found that by placing the legs of the roll cagein certain it places it benefited the cars handling.Over the years huge research was put into the design of roll cages and the materials used after discovering the handling and suspension benefits it provided to competition vehicles. This development through the years has made roll cages very effective and had resulted in limiting the amount of deaths and made a huge reduction in the amount of serious injury's caused by crashes that may happen during a motorsport
event.
The research has also led to the use of better materials in rollcages.
The first roll cages simply used steel bars but modern day roll cages use aircraft grade steel for extreme strength but minimizing the weight of the cage.

What was the first car to reach 200 mph?
the first car to reach 200 mph was the ferrari f40 . it went 201 before other cars could reach 200
the first awnser is wrong it was the Lamborghini Diablo in 1991.
Both wrong 1st road car was the ford GT40 in 1966. The Ford gt40 made it to 217. If you want to get technical, the first answer is incorrect as well.
I would just like to add that we could also look at cars like the Mercedes C111 which hit 200mph (320 kph) in 1978. However this was not a production car because of the economic crisis at the time. We could also look at a modified, non-street-legal version of this car - the Merc C111-IV which hit 251mph (403kph) in 1979. These are all very impressive cars but hats off to the 330 P4!
- Nharzhool
-The Ferrari F40 was the first production, street legal, non-racing, factory car to reach speeds of over 200 mph. The 330 P4 was both race and street legal and was originally made for the track. The Ferrari F40 was made for the road originally. FYI, The Diablo was made in 1991, and the only reason it could go faster than the F40, was that the F40 had a big rear wing for handling and down force, causing it to slow down after about 165 mph. If the F40 and the Diablo were to race in a 1 mile drag, the F40 would be far ahead before the finish because of its far superior power to weight ratio. In my opinion, the Diablo is just an over-rated, heavy, underpowered, pile of crap that can only go 202 because of its extreme aerodynamic capabilities.
Actually, the first EVER car to hit 200 was the sunbeam 1000hp.
How much Bhp does a Formula One car produce?
Around 720bhp. Restrictions have been placed on them over the years, such as limiting the engine rpm and engine size. They have been more powerful in the past, but these restrictions help to keep the sport relatively safer.
What is the longest track in NASCAR?

Mustang would beat almost any muscle car by racing. Mustang has been known to beat the camaro. Motortrend has been doing tests and so has edmunds and Mustang has been beating the camaro since the 90s the new 5.0 mustang has been a huge popular car as one of the fasest mustang's and the camaro has been out of business since 2005-2009. Mustang's are a classic to ford and the mustang shelby gt500 2010 has been the fastest muscle car of the time. So if your looking for a muscle car pick the mustang!
What are Formula 1 cars made of?
A modern Formula One car is a single-seat, open cockpit, open wheel race car with substantial front and rear wings, and engine positioned behind the driver. The regulations governing the cars are unique to the championship. The Formula One regulations specify that cars must be constructed by the racing teams themselves. An F1 car can be no more than 180 cm wide. Though there is no maximum length or height, other rules set indirect limits on these dimensions, and nearly every aspect of the car carries size regulations; consequently the various cars tend to be very close to the same size. The car must only have four wheels mounted externally of the body work with only the front two steered and only the back two driven. There are minimum distances allowed between the wheels and the rear and front body work. The main chassis contains a "safety cell" which includes the cockpit, a structure designed to reduce impact directly in front of the cockpit, and the fuel tank directly behind the cockpit. Additionally, the car must contain roll structures behind and ahead of the driver. The driver must be able to enter and exit the cockpit without any adjustments other than removing the steering wheel. Onboard electrical and computer systems, once inspected at the start of the season, may not be changed without prior approval. Electronic starters and launch control are forbidden. The computers, which must contain a telemetric accident data reporting system, run a modified version of BSD.
What are the working hours of a NASCAR driver?
HOT! On a cool day temperatures inside the car can reach upwards of 140 degrees (because of the heat of the engine and exhaust pipes), and they have no air conditioning! (Don't want to lose that horsepower just for air conditioning!) Imagine what it's like on a hot summer day. Uggh! Normally there is a tube that connects to their helmet that allows outside air to be pumped into their helmet. (Outside air, gee, thanks... not really very comforting on 90 degree days!) If the race is going to be run on a hot, sunny day, many drivers will actually get IV's of fluids before the race to avoid dehydration during the race because they will sweat so much. NASCAR racing is no "Sunday drive" In addition to being hot and sweaty all day (to the point of heat exhaustion), would you have the mental focus and physical capacity to drive for 500 miles straight through? Without getting out of the car for a break? And only stopping for short periodic 10 second timeframes? And do that at about 180mph for 4 hours straight? Takes alot of endurance, both mentally and physically. Whew, thanks, but I think I'll remain a fan! Fan of cup champion of 1995, 1997, 1998, 2001, and 2007! Keeping an eye on the "drive for five"....go 24!
How do they make a formula one steering wheel?

What school did travis pastrana go to?
I think he was home schooled and graduated high school when he was 16 years old. I also believe he did attend and possibly completed college with a degree in something related to business. This is what I have heard but I am not 100% sure I am accurate.
How many times does the race car go around the track in one race?
it depends on the race and the type of car nascar is usally split into a series or tournament which can last up to 350 laps
What is the length of an F1 race?
it depends on the:
1.circuit
2.driver
3.number of laps
4.safety cars
the short races are uasually taken place at monza, italy. with an estimated time of 75 mins without safety cars and with a great driver and car. the long races are uasually when rain is involved because the cars will go slower due to aquaplaning and a substantial lack of grip.
safety cars- sent out when there is a potential danger due to a crash or other hazards such as rain or oil from a car.
in 2012 a regulation states that a race can only last up to 2 hours but dont think that is the time for the race because the time dosent count if there is a red flag situation.
Red Flag Situation: when there is a large hazard that maybe a car is stuck on track on the racing line or the rain is undrivable. when there is a red flag whatever the situation the drivers in order of track position line up on the grid and the mechanics come on track and work on the car. then when the track is ready the race starts up again
the longest race was the 2011 canadain grand prix which lasted 4 hours accually 4 hours and 4 mins. and that race had safety cars, a red flag, crashes, ALOT of rain and it was considered as one of the best grand prix ever! also the winner Jenson Button started 7th, had a drive thru penalty, pitted for tyres about 5 or 6 times, at one point he was last, and overtook the long race leader sebastian Vettel on the last lap!he did this all because he was much faster than everyone, plus he is one if not the best in changable conditions.
Why do drivers push each other in a Nascar race?
Once a race car's engine is started, it's crucial that the car begin to move very soon. Modern engines are designed to operate when moving through air, which provides necessary cooling. When the cars are stationary, however, mechanical stress and heat builds up quickly, so there is little lag time between starting the engines and moving into the single formation lap that precedes the race start.
It's also a rule in the NASCAR handbook, so that nobody could gain an unfair advantage.
Wow! Everyone is an expert! These days the motors are cooled as they always have been! AIR! Those types of motors do not run well at all, at lower temps, and speeds. The warm up process on a race motor is torture. Those motors are designed to run at 230 degrees, at 10,000 rpms, for 500 miles. When metal heats up, it gets bigger. So, to clearance that motor, at temp, at rpm, for distance, it has to be pretty ill fitting when cold, at low rpm. They knock, rattle, and just do not function well under those conditions. Also, to get the air/fuel mixture proper for the expanded version of the motor, you have to make them run extremely rich when cold. So, consequently, the spark plugs foul, carbon builds up rapidly on the pistons, which can cause contact between the chaser valve, (exhaust), and the piston, negating any racing potential. Finally, those cars are so high geared in the rear end, to achieve those high speeds, that you have to fry the clutch to get the car to act at all civilized around pedestrians, that it is just easier to push. I have never heard that Nascar rule, however, I can believe it. You would end up hurting people, and damaging the car. Drag race cars are the opposite. They have real low gears to accelerate quickly, but do not have to sustain speed. They run out of rpm's in a quarter mile, by design, therefore they are really easy to get rolling. Example: get into a stick shift vehicle. Put it into 1st gear, let out the clutch. Nice and smooth. That would be the drag car. Now put it into 4th gear, and let out the clutch. Motor bogs, you have to slip the clutch, it's a real pain, right? That's a stock car. Also, for an engine to make horsepower at 10,000 rpm's, you have to give up elsewhere. A small block Chevy will give you a power band of about 4-5000 rpm. To make power at 10 grand. you can't start making power till about 5,000 rpm. So at idle speed, the motor doesn't even want to run.
How many cars can a NASCAR owner have?
In Nascar, an owner is allowed to have a maximum of four cars (teams).
It sounds like you have an algae problem. Shock the pool and toss in a dose of algaecide. Take a sample of the water along to your pool shop and get it tested while you are getting the algaecide.
What is a 10-second-car in racing?
A ten second car is a car that can drive a quarter mile in 10 seconds or less. This usually cost'sa lot of money in order to get an engine that can propel the car that fast in such a short distance
