its a toy that u use card and the bakugan and they are creatures you're right but they're plastic creatures that react with magnets. you can buy tons of different kinds, like my personal favorite, Aquos Preyas and Darkus Tentaclear. They don't all come in balls either, they can come in cylinders pyramids, etc. they can also spin if you buy the new vestroia kind that are different shapes and can spin.

I just figured this out. You have to place the bottom of the Bakugan on the card it came with. It is magnetic and will automatically pop out the two sides when you place it on. Then, you just pull out the legs and the middle yellow fang (or whatever it is). Everything will open up after you do that.
