A ballet split can be two different things.

There's the right/left leg splits, which is where one has one leg in front of them, the other behind them, and is sitting on the floor with their legs at a 180 degree angle. (try looking up 'the splits' to really get it.)

The second one is the middle or 'Chinese' splits. In this, the dancer has their legs extend from their body much in the way that you hold your arms at right angles to your body. Dancers will often stretch with their bottoms on the floor and their their legs parallel to a wall and try to get the entire lengths of the legs up against the wall to stretch.

Of course you can. If you are interested in Ballet do it. Its hard and you may receive pressure regrding your weight but dont let that bother you. Generally girls start very young, so maybe try an adults class to begin with.

There really is no standard size but they fit (at least for me) about two sizes smaller than my regular shoe size, but it depends on the brand of the shoe. For people with V feet, which means that your toes look more like a V when you put your feet together, I would recommend Grishko or Capezio. But for people with more even toes I would recommend Bloch.

I'm not sure about cms, but if you are size one in normal shoes, then you should buy ballet shoes in a size 3.

Well ballet is danced to slow music. It also has to be precise and accurate. Tap can be performed to slow or fast music. When you Tap dance you have to wear special tap shoes. These have a piece of metal on the bottom of the shoe called a tap, this is situated on the toe end of the shoe. When you move higher up the grades the will get a pair of shoes which have a tap on the bottom at the heel end of the shoe. When you dance this special shoe makes a tap sound. Put steps together and this makes a whole load of sounds which it made right can sound great and almost like a song.

So that is the difference between Tap and Ballet.

ballet is way better way more skilled and advanced than karate if you are doing karate and not ballet then you are a full moron you have to be way more skilled to do ballet then you have to do to do karate and karate is just kicking radomly and punching radomly ballet is way more organized than that

It depends on what your teacher's rules on attire are. Some teachers won't let you wear shorts or pants.

It also depends personally I don't like to because its hard to stretch with to layers of pants on, but if you feel uncomfortable with all of your leg showing then pants would be alright.
