The overall taste is not pleasant. I did not want to eat more of it. I did not swallow it. I tried steaming some for 4 minutes. The fibrous element almost disappeared. The taste did not improve, however it smelt good. Strong smell of banana icecream. I decide not to swallow it.
Why use a wooden spoon as opposed to a metal spoon when making banana nut bread?
Some metal utensils are of very poor quality (like the cheap ones you buy at your local grocers in kitchenware). What can happen is that the coating could come off and end up in your food. This generally happens after repeated use in foods that have a high acid content (i.e. spaghetti sauce, tomato soup, lemon/lime juice added recipes, etc.) TRUST ME, IT'S A NASTY TASTE!!! A good wooden utensil, that is properly sealed and taken care of does not alter the quality food.
