If a batted ground ball hits a base runner who is on the base is the runner safe or out?
MLB rules state the ball must beat the runner to the base on a force play. If the ball and the runner reach the base at the same time the runner would be considered safe. However, there are no ties in baseball. The runner either gets there before the ball or after...Ties are only a myth.....
How much does it cost to buy an MLB team?
According to a 2008 study by Forbes, the New York Yankees were the most valuable team in MLB at $1.306 billion and the Boston Red Sox were the lowest valued team at $10,000,004. Teams are giving money to pay for their players based on how many fans they have and how successful at baseball they are. Therefore, the Yankees are worth over a billion and a quarter dollars, mostly revenue from fans coming to see their players (where nearly 75% take steroids. A Rod would not make it without steroids.) Five teams were valued at $500 million or more (Yankees, Mets, Dodgers, Cubs, Angels). The article didn't give an average value but an MLB team is obviously worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

What hotel do the New York Yankees stay at when visiting Kansas City?
Hotels bid for their business. Every visiting team is contacted with bids from various hotels outlining the services, security, and pricing bids each year when the new schedule is announced. They barter from there, but from my experiences, they have filled between 110 and 225 rooms, depending on the team. Certain teams are VERY concerned about security, while others aren't whatsoever. One year, three stayed at my hotel, but all of the visiting teams do not stay at the same hotel consistently Hope that helps!

What kind of education is needed to be a pro baseball player?
Technically, you don't need any education beyond high school, many players are from foreign nations and have only high school educations. Many players do have some college experience, however, it is not required. Baseball is different than basketball and especially football in that there isn't a huge gap in physical development that must occur to become a professional. Baseball has a good minor league system to develop a lot of young players where college would train basketball and football players.

Why do right hand batters hit the ball to left field?
Timing- the reason is because of the timing of the batters swing. Being late on the timing causes a right handed batter to hit to the right side, and early will cause it to go to left. Since most batters are early on their swings this cause them to hit to left for a righty and right for a lefty.
In baseball who wears a mask besides the catcher?
Well, safety is very important in softball. If you are pitching, you should use a mask, or 3rd base/short stop. Since the ball is mostly coming to those people. Safety is important. But it all depends on what age group you are in, because the older, the more skilled you are, so you don't have to be as much protected. I was watching college softball, and I might be wrong, but I think i saw the pitcher wearing a protective mask.

Has a baseball player ever played for two teams on the same day?
I'm not 100% sure but I have never seen or heard of a game with only one baseball used for the fact that the pitcher would have to of pitched a perfect game, only has happened 17 times, and would had to have never thrown a pitch that hit the ground or had a batter hit a fowl ball. So with those chances I'm sure its never happened.
